You know the most disturbing part of Mandaar is how freaking realistic he is? Like aise ladke real life mein kitne milte hain, unfortunately? Who take simple acts of kindness to be 'hints', then complaint about being 'led on' and 'friendzoned', phir rote hain ki 'nice guys never get the girl' and through all of it, refuse to take no for an answer, unke liye 'no' means 'try harder', because baat ladki ke consent ki nahi, par unki khud ki ego ki hai.
Totally agree on this Ashi. The very first court case I was called for Jury duty here in US was something on similar lines. The guy did not take her No for answer and raped her. His plea was not guilty as the victim gave many hints of "wanting to be together". Dang - I excused myself from the jury immediately. The judge asked me to state a reason for recusal and I said as a mother to 2 girls I can't be objective of this case. It was so creepy the whole case and the guy pleading not guilty. I had nightmares the first few days and used to hug both my girls and sleep. My husband was pushed to sleep in kids bed - I told him I need to feel that I can protect my babies. My husband understood my fears and for a week I was sleeping in middle with both my girls to my sides. Abhi bhi if I remember that case I get goosebumps.
