Love
"Raghav?" Pallavi walked into his study and found him reading a book, standing by the desk. "Itni raat ko kya padh rahe ho?" She saw the book's name, "Hindu Marriage Law. Yeh kyu padh rahe ho?"
"Take tumhara pehla pati phir koi drama na kare," he said keeping the book aside.
"Raghav..." she held his hands and made him sit on the desk while she sat on the chair in front of the desk, "Tum kyun Mandar ke bare mein itna sochte ho? Kahi..." she acted to be shocked, "Kahi tumhe Mandar se pyaar toh nehi hogaya na?"
They both burst into laughter.
"Tum bhi na, Saree Ka Dukan, kuch bhi bolta hain," Raghav said.
"Sach mein, Raghav, matt chinta karo itna," Pallavi assured him.
"Thik hain, manlia tumhara demand."
"Pakka meri harr demand poori karoge?"
"Yes...." slowly he dipped forward toward her, "tumhara harr ek demand...main poora karega," he combed some of her hair and cupped her face.
Maintaining the intense eye-lock, he leaned closer and planted a kiss on her right cheek. She closed her eyes to savor the feeling. Then he started moving closer to her lips. Nervousness, anticipation, passion everything was on a high.
But their moment was broken by Pallavi's ringing phone. "Mandar" flashed on the screen. Raghav was clearly disappointed, frustrated to be exact. He immediately left the room.
"Raghav!" Pallavi called but to no avail. She was angry as well. She literally picked up her phone and slammed it on the table.
"Oh no! Yeh mane kya kardia!" She was surprised by her act as she isn't someone to break things. "Sach mein, Pallavi, tu din ba din uss Ghamandi Rao jaisi banti ja rahi hain."
She didn't even bother to pick up the phone, instead ran out of the room.
Pallavi was anxiously waiting for Raghav to come out of the bathroom. She knew for a fact that he was angry. Maybe not with her but with Mandar. He already didn't like him now his call interrupted their moment. She was so busy thinking about all these that she didn't realize when Raghav came until he spoke.
"Hogaya tumhara uss Bandar...I mean Mandar se baat?" He sounded cold.
"Nehi."
"Kyun?" He was surprised because Pallavi is such a kind-hearted person that it's impossible to think that she would ignore someone's call.
"Maine apna phone todh dia..."
"Kya! Saree Ka Dukan, tumne apna todh dia?" He was laughing out of shock.
"Kyun ki...." she pulled him by his shoulders and made him lay on her lap, "main din ba din tumhare jaisi bann rahi hu, mere Ghamandi Rao. Yeh kaisa jadoo kar dia tumne haan?"
"Agar tumhe baat karna ho toh tum mere phone se call kar sakta hain," he suggested out of courtesy but obviously he didn't want her to do that.
"Wah, main dheere dheere tumhare jaisi horahi hoon aur tum mere jaise." She said, caressing his beard.
"Main tumse bohot pyaar karta hain, Pallavi. Tumhare liye kuch karega...." He announced with the utmost love and sincerity in his eyes.
She smiled and responded with "I love you too, Raghav."
She dipped down and kissed on his left cheek, "Yeh uss promise ke tukne ke liye jo maine tumse kia tha ki mera past humare present aur future ko affect nehi karega. I am sorry, Raghav."
"Pallavi...." he tried to reason but she shushed him.
"Nehi, ab tum meri baat sunoge. Yeh ussdin ke liye... Tumne mere liye itni saari arrangements kia aur main aise hi chali gayi! Sorry." She planted another kiss on his right cheek.
"Aur yeh aaj ke liye...."
Pallavi mustered up all her courage and pecked on his lips. He knew she was strong and independent but didn't imagine her to be this bold. He seemed to have been hypnotized by some magic as he got up from her lap without breaking the eye contact and sat face-to-face with her.
"Saree Ka Dukan...." His breathed huskily, "Yeh tumne kya kia..."
She kept a hand over one of his hands which was resting on the bed, "Raghav, I promise, ab se main kisi ko bhi humare bich nehi aane dungi."
He smiled and brought that hand of hers to his lips and kissed it while he used his other hand to pull her closer to him. She was now mere centimeters away from him. They both moved forward and soon their lips met, this time without any interruption. It was a slow yet passionate kiss where his rough lips met with the soft ones of hers.
Running out of air, they both parted and continued to stare deeply into each other's eyes.
She moved toward his ear while caressing his beard and breathed out in a whisper, "Raghav..."
"Bolo, Pallavi..." his hot breath grazed her neck.
Her hand moved from his face and lightly brushed his lips, "I...."
She was driving him crazy. He was literally on the verge of losing his sanity.
She then traced the length from his throat, "love...." to his chest, "you..." through the opening of his night suit.
That was like her seal of consent. As soon as she completed her sentence, they fell backward, on the bed. He pulled the string of her night suit and started planting a trail of feather-light kisses from her neck and collarbone.
The more the night turned darker, the more their relationship grew more and more intimate.....
