Riddhima entered into a small cosy apartment room which belonged to Vansh. She initially had thought to surprise him with her surprise visit, but ended up getting the biggest shock on finding the whole room engulfed in utmost silence and darkness.
"I seriously fail to understand you girl!! On one hands it's you only saying that you are insanely in love with nights and on the other hand, it's you only who says that you hate darkness. Understanding you is next to impossible!!"
Huffed Vansh in anger, and sat down on the bed cross-legged, like a cute grumpy kid.
Riddhima chuckled at his actions. Last night, over the video call she told him that she loves night. And seriously, this guy made his entire room seep into darkness so that she could stay here comfortably.
She seriously found his this action cute as well as hilarious as she sensed his jealousy behind this action.
As she swiped the curtains open, smiled and said, "It's not that difficult to understand you see."
"And can you explain me please!!" He said with raised brows as she settled comfortably besides him.
Shrugging her shoulder, she said,
"All you have to do is to understand the difference between the two."
He looked at her with a frown on his face, trying to understand the deep meaning behind her words.
She looked at his expressions and chuckling internally,
"There is a simple difference between night and darkness. As you said, I am genuinely in love with nights because, when night falls and we feel lonely and alone, at that time, we see millions of stars and moon. We tend to find our loved ones residing amongst them. And not to forget they hold most of our secrets.
And coming to the darkness. It removes all the positivity from our life. But still, I would be forever indebt to it!!"
He looked at her as if he is seeing some alien, who right now explained how she despised darkness and the another moment, she said that she is indebt to it.
He blinked twice and tried to understand the deep meaning implied behind her last line.
Understanding the reason behind his weird expressions, she smiled widely and with a distant look in her eyes said,
"As everything has a positive aspect. 'Darkness', too has a positive side which everyone ignores. Perhaps, that's what I did too!! When darkness engulfs the entire sky, at that time, these stars and moon are visible to us and they, even though partially, but try to illuminate the otherwise dark sky with their lights, adding a charm to it.
In the similar way, when our life is surrounded by darkness, these stars and moon come to our rescue and encourage us. By the time they leave us, we are transformed into a phoenix and our otherwise dark sky or life is fully illuminated and bright.
You know, even though those stars and moon leave us, they forget that we have them engraved on our hearts and captured in our minds. Forever!!
The darkness feels that we have long forgotten it. But, very little it knows that the ambience it provided us with is not forgettable. Even though chaotic, it was somewhere peaceful!!"
By the time she had finished, he was busy staring at the most purest soul he had ever met in his life, who not only illuminated his entire sky, but also glorified his reason of being.
She is His.
His STAR IN THE DARK NIGHT...
