Shades of Love - Pallavi's Point of View

This is for Parul that I am writing what I feel about Pallavi's character sketch.

Pallavi before marriage must have had a very sheltered existence with her brother. When she marries in Deshmukh's house she is introduced to the family structure and she is so in love with the whole idea of having a mother, father, uncle, aunt, brother and sisters. She is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve and one who loves unconditionally. That is why when Mandar dies she still stays back and tries to love Mandar's family and be the support for them.

Pallavi is someone who knows the importance of relationships and she is someone who will go the extra mile to have the people around her be happy. However in the Deshmukh house the burden of keeping everyone happy has pushed her spirits and she becomes a timid girl contrary to her original nature. It is when Raghav comes into the picture and challenges her left, right and center her inner jhansi ki Rani awakens and she transforms into the fearless girl that originally was before the responsibilities bogged her down.

Pallavi is very naive and hence she doesn't understand the manipulations of people around her - be it Sulochana Kaku or now Mandar. That is because she has always lived a sheltered life. When she meets Raghav that is when she realizes that people are crooked and manipulative in the world. Pallavi never had any interactions with Mandar and I feel for all practical purposes Raghav is the first male she interacted that much. Raghav is crude, obnoxious and everything that Pallavi is not but he is the alpha male and our Pallavi definitely was attracted to him. I strongly feel Pallavi is also attracted to Raghav during the Lion track. When Raghav applies ointment she was totally checking him out.

The interactions with Raghav fuels the confident Pallavi but dang our guy has to go and spoil everything. Had Raghav told Pallavi what happened to Keerti instead of defaming pallavi, They would have together solved this MMS kand. And had Raghav told Pallavi that Jaya placed this condition of marriage for coming back to home, Pallavi and he could have talked out something. But our guy doesn't believe in sharing the problems and goes and makes a bigger khand for everyone involved.

Pallavi slowly gets attracted to the golden heart that Raghav has and after the redemption track she realizes that Raghav is someone different that what he projects. The creatives could have weaved in another scene like a car going out of control and raghav getting injured for Pallavi to have the epiphany that she has fallen head over heels in love with Raghav - Can't believe Raghav got hurt by a nail. Pallavi fell in love with Raghav but the acceptance of those feelings did not happen until she saw Raghav in ICU. That is what Krishna tells her - Yeh bechainyi ko, yeh darr ko aap kya naam donge. That is when Pallavi realizes that Raghav has become the center of her universe and without Raghav she is nothing.

Pallavi is the complement to Raghav - it is like her good nature and her warmth are perfect foils to Raghav's brash and bratty attitude. That is why they are soul mates as they match together perfectly to create a beautiful harmony.

yes please put in a special request to Sikhand through his live chat or the actor's about NOT making this PS comical.. I like how they are all dressed up but wanna see a real wedding photoshoot not a circus comedy.. and we don't mind seeing atleast half of the episode dedicated to this PS, mehendi and all.. NO NEED to squeeze in the daily dose of D family and SunKee drama.. I bet lady dragon will be there with that namoona, making faces and trying to sabotage the occasion.. but keep it to a bare minimum..

I skipped this show considering it a random cliche. I found this just a few weeks back and binge watched all the epis in a day, warna I wouldn't have known at all and IF mein phirse grah pravesh nehi karti.😭
