Raghav is an amazingly sketched layered character and Sai portrays it very naturally on the screen. Raghav is a set of paradoxes within himself - What he says vs What he thinks vs What he feels are all very different to each other. The one advantage that Raghav has is he has seen love at its purest form with his family and given the character that Jaya is right now - I am sure she and Ajit had an absolutely beautiful relationship. Raghav after the mishap had to fend for himself and that made him see the world with all its harsh realities. So Raghav is someone who knows what Love really is but also knows that the kind of love he aspires is very rare in this matlabi world. And his interactions with the girls who run behind him for money just enforces his notion especially when a woman who was supposed to get married the next day tries to seduce him.
When Pallavi comes in his life, he is really irritated because of the lectures she keeps on harping on him be it at the temple or be it in the bazaar when she slaps him. He thinks of her as a moralistic idiot who has no idea of duniyadari. But when Pallavi comes and asks him for the 1 month challenge that is when he realizes that this girl is indeed different. The interactions he has with her reinforces his belief that Pallavi is a morally strong girl who has the guts to question him. That is when his admiration starts and when she tends to him after he gets injured in the Lion attack - he starts to have feelings for her. That is why when he suddenly colors Pallavi during the Holi sequence the next day, he doesn't take his hands off her face for quite sometime. He starts to feel those nascent feelings of attraction towards her.
The abortion scandal, the MU with Keerti and Amma cloud his reasoning and that is where you see Raghav who thinks with his brain overpower Raghav who thinks with his heart. Once the MU all clears up and Raghav suffers the anxiety attack and Pallavi helps him, he realizes that he has sinned and tries to rectify his mistakes. His heart longs for her forgiveness. He falls in love even deeper when Pallavi stands by him during the necklace fiasco and then helps him overcome his past. But his mind has his own insecurities and hence he is unable to move forward with any type of confession. When Mandar's accident truth comes out that is when Raghav's mind, heart and soul are all on same page that Pallavi is the one he wants and he loves.
What I love about this show is that the creatives are showing the love story really good. In real life too you don't automatically fall in love the moment you see something. It is over many interactions and after spending considerable time with each other that you realize that the other person has become an integral part of your thoughts and you both have weaved in your lives together. That realization has been sketched so good in this show.

And when Pallavi was head strong about Raghav not being the culprit of Mandaar's accident, Raghav was irrevocably in love. There was no one else other than Pallavi for him. He was falling harder than ever.
