Two more instances come to my mind to support aayi knows mandu is alive

1) aayi walked out of her marriage for Pallavi. It is a bit unrealistic, which Saas does this for bahu. Her guilt might have driven this.

2) the way she said to amma.. I know a mother can sacrifice an innocent person's life for a child. She says she knows very well. This was when amma takes the newly married pallavi to meet aayi for the first time after raghvi marriage.

and these are the much needed evidences for the whole theory

and Aai being away from D-house for long durations perfectly explains it

Exactly, foundation was set from episode 1. 🤣

Props to the team for making an anti-hero so relatable and believable, to the point that we condone him beating up and fighting with senior citizen Sanki or the FL choosing him over a possible good Mandaar. 🤣

So while i was watching today's episode and re-watching old episodes something clicked my mind and i came up with this theory.

What if the doctor called Mandaar's family that night and Aai picked up the call. We now know that Aai was pissed off at the way Vijay Deshmukh treated their son so she went to the hospital and found out that Mandaar lost his memory. Thinking of it as a way out for his son from a torturous father and a forced marriage, she called up her friend who is a doctor ( the same doctor they mentioned in today's episode who takes care of Mandaar as her own son) . That doctor might not have a child so maybe Aai have up Mandaar to her so that she can take away her son out of his miseries and away from her controlling husband.

And so she might have faked illness when a body was found so that no identification is done and everything gets over soon. Since she chose her son over everyone, she might have felt guilty for ruining Pallavi's wife as the society marked her as a widow and to overcome that guilt she took Pallavi under her wings as her daughter and later tried to wed her off to give her the life she once snatched away from Pallavi.

This is just a theory i thought because when kaka told her on call about Pallavi's supposed hallucination of watching Mandaar, instead of being a little hopeful that her son might be alive ( i mean she is a mother for God's sake, she could get a bit hopeful) she dismissed and agreed of kaka's point of view of all this being Pallavi's imagination.

If the CVs take this angle I’ll be sooo happy! At least then we’ll be saved from Aai’s emotional torture on Pallu.

I did think that Aai should’ve asked more questions about Mandaar when Kaka was discussing it with her because you know “Maa ka dil sab jaanta hai” type thing we see in Bollywood and itv. But she didn’t so it might be possible that Aai knew about Mandaar being alive.

Also, I found it a bit strange when the doctor said that they found Mandaar in the forest because 1) Raghav admitted him to the hospital and while hospitals wouldn’t really want to treat someone who has no known family, they shouldn’t have had any problems because Raghav was very much ready to pay for his treatment. So there is no need for the hospital to get rid of him.

2) The original hospital said that his family had been contacted then why was he found in a forest? The first thing I thought when the doctor told her story was that she’s lying. This story is made up to cover up something big because honestly that story didn’t sell at all. And the fact that she had a whole drawer dedicated to the missing person documents and that she showed it without much provocation from anyone suggests that she was eager to make her story viable. I do not trust this doctor at all, she’s very sketchy.

After reading your theory, it does make sense why Aai was so desperate to get Pallavi married to someone. Otherwise why would she send away someone she’s very clearly concerned about (I don’t have any doubts about that). Not to mention the fact that Pallavi was the bread earner of her family so sending her away means she’s sending away their only source of income. From the first episode itself, I wondered why is she overreacting about Pallavi calling herself a widow, it’s a fact they can’t change. In fact, I thought it would’ve been better if they showed her scolding Pallavi about attaching her identity to that tag without any rona dhona but alas it’s itv so some melodrama is needed. And she never mentioned Mandaar unless Pallavi brought it up herself which is strange for a mother to do.
