I think Didi might have worn the MS to try & use her status of wife to Adi to request help from some minister or high influence people. In the larger society Didi is still Adi's wife. I don't think she is fighting against Imlie for any rights yet. I will be pleasantly surprised if she does.

Yes - imlie will be the one saving him. Apu prob begged Malini to help out using her dads influence - she might have done that in the police station. Might be didi trying to be mahaan again but imlie will save Adi 👍🏼
