Chapter 1

Officers got down from the car and looked at Arjun, who had blood all over him. His forehead was bleeding, his mouth was filled with blood there were wounds all over his body and the crepe bandage was out, revealing the tattoo.

His face had no expressions but his eyes expressed relief. A slight relief after avenging his beloved's death. Sameer looked at him and his condition as his heart pinched him for staying far, but he didn't know what else could he do. He wanted to rush to him and give him a tight hug, but the second moment he realized that he himself made Arjun believe that he hates him.

Shree and Chotu went to help Arjun seeing their chief still carrying his ego with him. While getting up Arjun noticed Sakshi, whose eyes were moist. She stood in a corner consumed in her own thoughts and when Sikandar's body was brought out on a stretcher, she closed her eyes and a tear fell down. Arjun noticed all of this and somewhere he firmly believed that Sakshi was helping Sikandar.

Sameer placed his hand on Sakshi's shoulder and feeling a hand she took a deep breath and wiped off her tears. She turned towards him and the two exchanged smiles. Here Chotu-Shree both made Arjun carefully sit in the car with them and sat besides him. Sakshi sat on the passenger seat next to Sameer, who was driving. It was a very quiet ride as there was nothing to talk about and at that moment silence could only be comfortable.

Sameer first parked in front of the hospital where Sikandar's body was taken for first aid. For an hour or so there was examination which took place when Sameer took Sakshi to the morgue.

"Sakshi andar jaao. Tumhare liye zaroori hai." Sameer assuringly pressed her hand as he told her to go inside.

"Lekin Sameer, kissine dekh liya toh.." Sakshi hesitatingly walked away from the morgue when Sameer stopped her "Sakshi tumhara haq banta hai ki tum ek baar usse dekh lo. Samjho meri baat." he stated and Sakshi looked at him teary-eyed.

Sameer hugged her and soon she gathered the courage to go inside. As soon as she went inside Sameer rushed to Arjun, to check on his condition. He spoke to the doctor regarding what is to be done and what not to be done.

"Dekhiye ACP Sameer, ACP Arjun ko abhi bohot chot lagi hai aur woh shayad hi apna khayal theek se rakh sakte hai. Agar koi apna unka khayal rakhe toh sharirik chot jaldi bhar bhi sakta hai aur woh duty jaldi join kar sakte hai." said the doctor as she gave Sameer the prescription and even a few dos and don'ts.

Sameer took the prescription and went to the medical later he was asked for few formalities and soon Arjun was allowed to go. Arjun's eyes looked for Sakshi while coming out, but she was not there.

He even couldn't ask anyone about her whereabouts. He knew that Sikandar's body was brought here and he had a doubt that Sakshi might be in the morgue when she suddenly appeared in front of Arjun.

"Kisse dhund rahe ho Arjun?" She asked and Arjun just shook his head in a No. Sakshi also smiled lightly as all took seat in the car.

Sameer parked the car at his building parking lot leaving Arjun confused. Shree and Chotu got down and helped Arjun get down too. "Hum yahan kya kar rahe hai?" Arjun asked him as in the same building he had purchased a flat for him and Roshni and now he had no courage to go back in there.

"Jab tak Rawate tum theek nahi ho jaate, tum mere saath, mere ghar mein rukoge." Sameer's these words made Arjun more than happy. But he didn't express his happiness rather he just hissed "Tumhaare paas aur koi option nahi hai kyunki yeh Mera order hai. Risk nahi le sakta main." Sameer coldly ordered and Arjun's heart sinked.

Now both Sameer and Arjun had time to talk their heart out. Both were internally happy but they wouldn't show it, as it would hurt the ego which they nurtured within them. With the help of Shree and Chotu, Arjun walked up till home, when he demanded to be left free. For sometime he managed to be on his own but then he lost his balance. "Arjun" Sakshi caught hold of his hand thus balancing him. He soon released himself from her hold and continues to walk on his own.

Ayesha and Liza were already present, as they were preparing the guest room in Sameer's house for Arjun. The lunch was also kept ready by the two and Sakshi helped in setting the table. As per Sameer's instructions, all had to have lunch and leave, So they obliged to it and left as soon as they had lunch.

Now Arjun and Sameer were the only people left in the house and the whole house was filled with awkward silence. Both wanted to break it, but how would they?

"Rawate tum kamre mein jaakar aaraam kar lo. Mujhe kuch official calls karne hai." Sameer instructed, and Arjun who was still feeling dizzy got up from the sofa unwillingly. Unable to stand for a longer time he was about to fall when Sameer catches hold of him "Sambhalke. Main leke chalta hun." he then slowly took Arjun to the guest room.
