Hello everyone! I am usually a silent reader but the episodes of this week were frustrating beyond comprehension and this OS was the result of my frustration lol. So I shall make my debut post with this.
I am not a writer by any means so please ignore any typos đ
Happy reading!!
It was a little after 6 pm when Shiva returned home after the confrontation with Janardhan. His family members were eagerly waiting for him to return home safely and unharmed so when they saw the injuries he had on his arm and head, they started worrying instantly. His brothers were pissed at Janardhan, but Shiva told them it was no big deal. He let them know how Janardhan ran away after Shiva had fought off the goons and had started making his way towards him. This made the brothers laugh, however, there was one member of the family who was sulking in the shadows which no one seemed to notice.
As Shiva made his way towards his room, Dhara approached him and scolded him for being reckless. She told him to wait for her while she brought the first aid kit over.
Just as Dhara let this known, Raavi appeared beside her. âRehne do Dhara di, main kar dungi iss bhoothnaath ki patti. Aap ko bhi toh aaj chot lagi hai. Aap rest kar lijiye, baaki main sab sambhal lungi.â
âApne iss gunde ko bhi sambhal lungi main,â Raavi muttered under her breath as she saw Shiva staring at her with an undecipherable expression before leaving to change his clothes.
Dhara wanted to protest but Raavi didnât give her the chance as she went inside her room, getting ready to deal with this bhootnaath of hers who seems to either run away at the sight of her these days, or speaks rudely to her which frankly makes her want to pull out her hair alongside her stubborn patiâs luscious hair as well.
Raavi was waiting for Shiva in their room, and when he appeared, he immediately started behaving just as she had predicted. âYeh faltu ka natak mat kar. Main theek hoon. Tujhe meri chinta karne ki zarurat nahi hai. Afterall, tere mere bich hai hi kya aisa jo tujhe meri fikar hone lagi? Dhari bhabhi accha khaasa mera dhyaan aayi thi rakhne, tune unhe bhaga diya,â he replied with an irritated expression on his face.
This irked Raavi, a lot. What sasta nasha was her bandar on? He just didnât seem to want to understand her stance.
âShaadi hui hai humari Shiva. Koi gudde gudiya ka khel nahi hai yeh. Haan, Dhari di rakhti thi tumhara khayal par ab main bhi hoon tere zindagi mein. Mera bhi haq banta hai ki main apne pati ka khayal rakhun aur tu mujhe yeh karne se nahi rok sakta,â Raavi admitted heatedly. She didnât let Shiva retort back and instead, grabbed his arm and pulled him to sit on the bed so she could take care of his wounds. She knew he was in the mood to fight with her. Well, if he wants a fight, she would give it to him, but only after his wounds were taken care of.
Meanwhile, Shiva was stunned to see the way she took charge of the situation and decided to let her do what she wanted. He wanted to give her an answer but he reigned in his emotions and looked on blankly to not give away his feelings, the feelings which were eating him up from inside and suffocating his very existence. These days, he wasnât quite sure what to say or how to act around her. His feelings were swirling around his soul like a tornado, wreaking havoc in his heart. He didnât think properly before he spoke to her and he knew he was quite rude at times, but he didnât know how else to act. Hence, why he ran away whenever he saw her coming near him. He wanted to drive a wall in between them so that she could be free from the burden of this relationship. Itâs not what he wanted but he was torn between what his heart yearned for and what he thought was the right thing to do after reading her diary. His self-doubt was his biggest enemy and he was yet to fully experience the consequences of this perturbing feeling.
Raavi peeked at Shiva sneakily before looking away and taking out some sterile wipes to clean his wounds first. She took care of the ones on his arm first before applying an ointment. She moved to the wound on his head which looked quite painful and this, in turn, made her heart squeeze in pain as well. She wanted to glance at him again but she knew once she looked up, she would not be able to think or act properly. She was afraid she would drown in those deep, mysterious eyes which held many emotions unknown to her. These emotions made her curious yet she was always hesitant in trying to find out the depth of those brown orbs which turned her insides into a puddle of mush with just one look.
Just as she wiped across the gash on his temple, Shiva hissed in pain.
âAe gadheri, dhang se nahi kar sakti? Poori life ki dushmani ka badla le rahi hai kya?â
Raavi smiled sheepishly, âSorry, galti se thoda roughly ho gaya. Bahot zyada dard ho raha hai kya?â She blew on his wound slightly to ease the burn. She felt Shiva stiffen beside her but didnât pay heed to it.
Shiva, clearly affected by her sudden proximity, decided to count from 1 to 100 to distract himself. Luckily, he didnât have to count for long as his chipkali opened her mouth and started with her nonsense.
âWaise Shiva, main toh soch rahi thi ki tu Chattan Pandya hai, par yaha toh lagta hai ki tujh jaise gadhere ko bhi thoda dard hota hai?â Raavi smirked, egging him on to get a reaction of him. Some things never change, and irritating this bandar was her favorite pass time.
âAe mami ki behen ki beti, mujhe koi dard ward nahi hota. Apne bheje mein yeh tu daal kar na samajh le. Teri zabaan kuch zyada hi chal rahi hai aaj kal. Ab tera yeh tera doctor banne ka shauk poora hogaya hai ya phir abhi bhi kuch baaki hai? Mujhe jaana hai.â
âBas hogaya hai, main iss par banadge kar deti hoon aur phir tu khaana khaane ja sakta hai,â she replied giggling.
âTujhe kaise pata main khaane ja raha hoon?â
âMujhse jhagadne ke alawa tu bas yahi toh karta hai. Waise abhi abhi tere hi pet se yeh dinosaur ki chillane wali aawazein aa rahi thi,â Raavi laughed.
Shiva gave her a glare and left to satisfy his hunger while Raavi looked at him with a twinkle in her eyes.

Later that night, Raavi kept tossing and turning hoping sleep would swoop in soon and take her off to her fairytale land but it seemed like she was in for a battle with her thoughts. She got up and sat in bed, sighing in defeat. She looked over at the sleeping form of her husband and an instant smile graced her face. She thought he looked quite adorable while sleeping. When he was awake, he was always in his mortal kombat form but a sleeping Shiva was indeed a sight to behold. She wanted to run her hands through his hair but refrained from doing so. She eyed his wounds and frowned. She wished she could kiss his wounds better and this thought made her eyes widen in surprise.
âMain Shiva ke baare mein aise kaise....,â but before she could finish her thoughts, her mind decided to step in for her.
Bilkul soch sakti hai. Aur kyun nahi? Akhir mein woh tera pati jo hai. Tu uske baare mein jo chaahe soch sakti hai aur uske saath jo chahe kar bhi sakti hai.
Raavi blushed deeply and felt her face turn a deep shade of red. She couldnât believe the words which just crossed her mind. She was really going insane. But she had to admit, it was a valid point. He was her husband and she had accepted this relationship. Whether her bhootnaath felt the same, that was a whole another question. He was as stubborn as ever and even getting him to utter a word these days seemed like a Herculean task.
âTu kyun meri baat samajhna nahi chahta, Shiva? Mujhe tumhare saath aage badhna hai. Main toh apne past ko kab ka bhool gayi hoon. Bas tujhe iss baat ka ehsaas karana hai,â she whispered to herself.
Raavi knew Shiva was distancing himself from her yet she didnât understand why. She wanted to know why her diary had this big of an effect on him but he didnât want to have this conversation.
âTeri yeh narazgi chubti hai Shiva. Teri baatein chubti hai. Tera mujhse nazar pher lena chubta hai. Kyun? Kyun tera mujhpe aisa asar horaha hai?â Raavi contemplated in silence.
Lost in her thoughts, âKya...kya...kya main tujhe pasand karne lagi hoon?â Raavi gasped in wonder. She finally let her deepest and most inner thoughts come into light and the realization of her feelings instantly sped up her heart.
She felt like a complete and utter tubelight. âMain kitni badi gadheri hoon, tu bilkul sahi kehta hai, Shiva. Yeh baat mere dil mein kuch dino se chal rahi thi par main darr rahi thi inn feelings ko apnane se. Par ab mein aur der nahi karungi.â
She started seeing everything in a new light. She realized why she felt so down when she felt Shiva going away from her. âIssliye teri baatein mujhe itna hurt karti hai. Jab tu mujhse jhagadta tak nahi hai, aisa lagta hai ki main adhoori si hoon. Tujhe dekhe bina mera din ekdam bekar jata hai. Jaise hi tujhe ek baar dekh leti hoon na, dil ko sukoon milta hai.â
She was happy with this revelation. The emotions Shiva evoked within her were reserved for him and only him. She had never felt this alive before. It felt like a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders.
She smiled at her sleeping husband, thinking about their childhood memories. All the times when he was there for her, whether they were happy or grueling times. He was the one constant in her life; the one-man army who was able to evoke within her a whole array of emotions.
âHasata bhi tu tha aur rulata bhi tu hi tha. Dard bhi tu hi deta tha aur marham bhi tu hi lagata tha. Musibat mere upar tu lata tha aur bachata bhi mujhe tu hi tha. Nafrat bhi tu hi karta tha aur pyaar....?â She trailed off not knowing the feelings residing in Shivaâs heart. But she wanted to know.
She looked up with a certain fire in her eyes. In that moment, her determination was a force to be reckoned with. âPati toh tu mera hai hi. Bas tu poora ka poora mera hai, yeh tujhe pata nahi. Yeh bhi pata chal jayega waqt ke saath.â
She knew it wasnât going to be easy but she was ready to fight for this relationship. Her khushiyaan were right in front of her and now that she has had that realization, she wasnât going to let anyone or anything take them away from her.
She folded her hands and prayed, âHey Somnath, aapka bahot bahot shukriya ki aapne mere zindagi mein Shiva ko bheja. Pehle mujhe lagta tha ki yeh mere zindagi ka sabse bada kaanta rahega par ab jakar ehsaas hua hai ki yeh kitna bada ashirwaad hai. Mujhe apni life se koi shikayat nahi hai. Main Shiva ke saath bahot, bahot, bahooooot khush hoon. Woh jaisa hai, mujhe waise hi pasand hai bas aap usse thodi akal de dijye. Usse uski zarurat hai,â she laughed inside thinking about how difficult he was being these days.
She felt Shiva shifting beside her and looked over hoping he hadnât woken up and heard her not- so-quiet prayer. She released her breath when he kept sleeping. Her heart felt at ease with his presence beside her. She slowly laid down on her side and looked at him, unadulterated adoration coating her eyes. She closed her eyes, feeling the most peaceful she has ever been in a while.
âAb toh tu mera hai, Shiva. Mera personal double XL wala gift haye,â she thought as she finally drifted off to sleep, content with her feelings and hoping for a future filled with love and light.
