Yes, it is more like he is not a selfless one here, just like Devdas he has his own priorities, and he chose to go on self destructive mode here, but I believe unlike Devdas, he will die for a better cause and will not be suicidal, unless he learns about Taimoor, we cannot even discuss on how he will transcend to the end of his journey.

As far as sympathy is concerned, it is not sympathy but helplessness which I feel for his character, more because as a human being he is better than anyone in this show, sadly he has been overtly deluded and now he cannot forgive himself for that. I hate how he hates himself, Farhad was never like that and as a character he will always remain the best one for me in this show, a character is not tragic unless he is hopeless and destructive in love, his family does not deserve it and I am sure he will reunite with them before dying at least.

After losing connection with the show and seeing his helplessness.. I feel hapless at lack of words to soothe the pain ..

Yes, I did notice the hints subtly given to Farhad and I am glad that the predictions coming true here and slowly baba is making him think about another dimension of the entire disaster. Finally a Farhad centric episode is here and story moved on. So so glad!
