After EDT, I stopped making separate posts. But this episode deserves one.
So here it is!
"Yaha hain Tejo, yaha Fateh aur hamara Adventure"
Fateh is happy. There is no guile in his face. Breaking in and entering is definitely up to his stalkerish tendencies 😅 but he is even more enthused about the fact that Straight laced Tejo is with him.
He is quite the kid in front of her. The way he blushed at her remark on his shirtless self was cute😍
But then things start to change.
The curtain scene!
As Tejo changes behind the curtains, Fateh keeps opening his own clothes. Jasso had hidden the locket in the front pocket of the shirt and it falls off. The clatter makes Fateh turn back and his eyes fall on his wife's frame behind the drapes.
Ah... beautiful foreshadowing. Jasso is the reason he was forced to marry Tejo. And today her gift, drew his eyes to his wife after which he saw her with a new gaze.
He tried to wrench his eyes away twice. But he couldn't. At that moment it was just Fateh...not the son fo Khusveer Singh Virk who had loads of responsibilities on his shoulders, not the National Boxer with a big fan following and not Jasso's obsessed lover too. It was the original Fateh that he would have been had Jasso never come to his life and he had Married Tejo simply by his own wish. His longing was so evident in that scene and as she came out, he couldn't stop himself.
Fateh wants Tejo.
Frankly, I have always had this feeling that he was always attracted to her on a subconscious level. Even in their friendship, I saw Tejo behaving normally, but I could sense stirrings from his side that were always suppressed by his vocal love for Jasso. Makes up for an interesting situation doesn't it? Had he married Jasso and realised much later that he longed for her sister too. A very messy equation....
Anyway, Fateh's attraction to Tejo is not just physical. It is emotional, soulful and most importantly it has a even deeper psychological connection. Fateh had always wanted to impress his father and let's face it had fallen short. Tejo is of a similar material like his father whom he could never impress. His father dotes on her. In a way, her positive regard for him, fills the emptiness that he had in him and makes him feel less like a failure and more like someone who finally is content. Her positive regard for him is extremely important, specifically now that she is also his life partner. All these culminate to push forth the primal physical attraction to consummate the marriage. As such, Fateh's physical attraction to Tejo is much different from his flimsy one to Jasso.
With Jasso it is skin deep and fuelled by his immaturity, ego and his pride that manifested his visceral humiliation as a peak that he cannot move on from.
With Tejo, it is beyond the superficial understanding of love/like/ or any other emotion.
The Shayari!
That is another facet of Tejo. She is a romantic at heart. Stern professor by day and secret romantic by the night; her many shades actually surprise him. Her presence entrances him and he sits by her unconscious to their nearness.
Tejo reads a poem where it is described about the feelings of love.....that she herself is feeling.
Fateh reads one about love and friendship. There was a line that said he was in a storm and only survived because of them. Beautiful lines and so similar to Fateh's own situation. He understands the gravity and the attraction builds. He inches closer to her but Tejo backs out.
Because the curtains caught fire.
This is brilliant foreshadowing. Fateh was the one fixing the fire and he turned his back on it to move closer to Tejo. As a result, in his absence the curtain caught fire.
Similarly, Jasso's present state is somewhere the result of his own obsession. He turned his back on her to move on with Tejo. And she now burns in envy and Jealousy.
Tejo moves back from the intimacy and he thinks she is not ready but she points out the fire. He hastens to tackle it.
Tejo will take a step back from this relationship due to the fire and it will be upto Fateh to douse the blaze that is his fault.
The Bed scene!
It breaks when they sit together. No one can have a relationship with a teetering foundation. Both have lies hidden in them. Fateh needs to confess his truth and Tejo needs to come clean regarding the Jasso drama. Only then their foundation will be solid. As such, the bed breaks when they sit together.
Tejo's laughter is like a soothing balm. There is no guile in her heart. No negative feeling. Nothing dark. And such people when they laugh, light up the entire surrounding. Fateh similarly saw the starts when she laughed. He was enraptured. It was then that he sure the pure soul of his wife and he fell; fell hard.
I am not describing the intimacy. It was 🥵🥵🥵
And I swear I saw it in loop😌😌
The next morning scene is beautiful, poignant and foreshadowing Tejo's heartbreak. She is so happy and content that her face glows. She writes Fatejo on the mirror but that will fade soon. Just like her happiness.
When rain drops fall on him, she cups her hand and holds it from disturbing him. This so reminded me of Loki and Sigyn. In Greek mythology, Loki was sentenced to have venom drop on his eyes as he lay tied down. Sigyn, his dutiful wife would hold a cup over his head to stop the venom from falling on him. Throughout his punishment she stood vigil over him but also lost her life, her children and so much more due to Loki's actions.
Doesn't this feel the same?
Fateh is hesitant when he wakes up. That pulling the sheets was cute 😂
But he surely is feeling a confusing flux of emotions. His courage of the night had fled and now he is unsure again. He had moved literally with Tejo and now something grates his mind again.
That blasted locket that he had given her. His minds flashes to his memories of Jasso and he turns to look back at the messed sheets. He really is stuck this time and now comprehension dawns in him.
Before it was only Jasso. Now he is fully tugged to Tejo too.
I have to say something about the Amrik Jasso screen. Jasso says Tejo forgets herself taking care of others but watch Amrik.
He agrees that Tejo might forget herself but Fateh won't. He will take care of her.
Which means he knows Tejo is not a bad person and also has a fair idea of her self sacrificing tendencies. But he trusts his brother to take care of her too. This means that somewhere he has started to accept Tejo as his Bhabi.
My TejRik ship is sinking 😭
So yah... That's it for the epsiode. I can't still get over the fact that it was stranger's place where they did it. God....it was empty as Tejo said...that means everything needed cleaning 😒
