Honestly it felt totally out of character for Gautam not to pick up a paralysed mother and rushing to the wife. They could have showed he was worried for both of them. I have a slight inkling that if they Want to go the Ramayana route, Gautam could be shown as the stepson of Suman and not the real one. She could be Kaikeyi and throw the lead couple out, Shiva can be the Lakshman goes away, Dev and Rishita can be the Raja and Patrani. This way they can fetch TRPS.🤣

Instead of Gaumbi running like Parvati from KHKT, they could have shown Gaumbi helping Suman and Dhara by sitting in the middle. Dev was right behind him. And then, he could have expressed his disappointment and concern to Suman. Something along the lines of her being careless and that she should have listened to Dhara and stay out of the way. Being in her room would have been safer for her. By not listening, she put herself and Dhara in danger, For Gaumbi, it would have come from a place of fear and concern. But Suman would feel hurt thinking he is blaming her. And then we can see him turning to Dhara and making sure she is okay. This would have opened up the same track, without messing Gautam’s character.
