Really who is spreading this rumors 🙄🙄🙄 sambar is typical South Indian dish dear but u will get that taste different on Tamil Nadu, Andra and karanataka 😊😊

Well I read somewhere when Maratha prince Sambhaji visited Thanjavur to his uncle Venkoji . He asked for a Marathi dish with Kokum in it but as there is no kokum in Tamil land the head chef instead used tamarind and hence a new dish was born and as the dish was made for Sambhaji that is why the dish was named sambhar in honur of Maratha prince .
