All hail to great Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj for laying the foundation , Peshwa Baji Rao Ballal for building the empire, Mahadji Scindia for making it a strong and modern empire. Sorry , as a history student Marathas always fascinated me. Even in Bengal for 17 years they were the paramount lord, The Nawabs of Bengal used to pay tribute to the Marathas.
