I think he is a Muslim. I searched on online. His full name is Muhammad Ovez Sabri. However he is known as Toshi Sabri.

Toshi has the whole qwaal thing going for him which is very difficult to pull. He is amazing - I sat through his performance and when he finished, I wanted to rewind it! 👏 👏 👏

But his strength is his weakness as well - his style limits him to sing sufi style songs effectively.

That performance was mind blasting.

Toshi is a true magical singer if I ever saw one. I fell in love with his singing during his SVOI days and have been following his performances ever since. When he got ousted from VOI, every single person I know who watched the show cried. You cannot believe how much love and respect toshi has earned from people here. Wish he reach great heights!
