Almost every movie in Tamil focuses on male characters, women are almost always only props for romance. It’s kind of frustrating actually, but you’re right Piu, it’s not common in ITV shows.

Actually all south indian movies are like this! telugu, kannada and malyalam movies too

The hero is the one-man army and the heroine is just there for the glamour quotient, songs and romance 🤪

in serials it's the opposite though, even the regional ones 😆

They had a table set up for Dhara to sit on with flowers on it, she wore a white saree which denotes purity, sach much Dhara se Dhara Devi ban gayi,😆
