@bold I love the way you phrased this.

I hope this encourages not just actors to try but also for writers and PHs to hire actors based on their craft, not their location, and then give them good scripts.

The thing is, there are very few good ML roles written for ITV so I understand actors from the South not wanting to say yes to crappy scripts and preferring to work on quality stuff in the south. Why go for mediocre when you can go for the best.

I think Sai's advantage is also that because he's multilingual he can continue to work in Hindi projects (series, TV, films), especially after so many people discovered him on MHRW, where his character allowed him to showcase a wide spectrum of emotions. Future casting directors can just look at his work on the show and see how good he is!

I always said this show has casting perfect to the T. Every character feels authentic and real as they are acting the roles which is native of their own culture it boils my blood how any ITV show with Marathi culture of South culture is done by north indian actors and how they failed to portray the characters authentically and failed with their accents also. YHM failed with Ishita's South culture where her acting never made me feel that she is a Tamil woman and GHKKPM where the leads casted are all North actors and how they fail to portray Marathi characters. In contrast see how good Gashmeer Mahajani is in Imlie . He is an authentic Marathi actor from Pune side and still has that accent when speaking Hindi but in the show how well he portray himself in the role of UP guy living in Delhi. This is called acting.

Sai's behavior is rubbing on Shivangi now as we can see how much improvement Shivangi has made in these last 5 months in terms of acting.

Totally agree, this show is fantastic because it is written on multiple levels, so there's something for everyone. The romance and action for those who care about the surface level story and then the deeper, meaningful level for people like us who want to understand what lies below the surface.

It didn't surprise me at all that he's a perfectionist. I had a feeling he was and he spends a lot of time discussing scenes and framing with the director, DOP, etc. I love that he is applying everything he learned in film school to his work here. Such people shine because they are so passionate and so honest about their work. He knows the rewards will come later and doesn't waste time thinking about fame. He reminds me so much of Aniruddh Dave in this regard. The way he plays his roles... Damn he made half the audience believe he was Haryanvi, he was that perfect with the accent despite being a Gujrati and never growing up speaking Haryanvi or living in Haryana.

I agree about Gashmeer. I didn't know he was Marathi until recently. He really does sound authentic.

Gashmeer is a big star in Marathi film industry. He is a very big name and he only did this show because he liked the concept of the show . His chemistry with Sumbul is very natural. Though he off screen he is like bhau of Sumbul either keeping her in check from doing mischief or helping to refine her craft more. Actors from down south ( for me Maharashtra is also south because the culture is very similar to South) are professionals they are not boisterous or conscious about their media persona but completely devoted to their craft.

How can I forget that Aniruddh Dave really made people believe including me that he is Haryanvi. I mean how naturally he portrayed the character of a Haryanvi cop and it never felt fake. He along with Kunal Karan Kapoor are the two actors who can really get into the skin of their characters and made people feel that it is part of their character and not acting. Kunal Karan Kapoor I remember how totally he portrayed the no nonsense crime reporter with tapori type behavior and accent . In real life he was completely opposite but in screen it felt that he is not acting but he himself is like this only. There also Kunal helped Aakanksha refine her craft and Kunal's hardwork and perfectionist motto rubbed off her and now she is playing FL roles in South Movies.

Thanks Akka. I will try these movies but yes Drishyam is in my watchlist both the parts. Any good Dulquer Salman or Nivin Pauly movie? I really liked Premam. The film gave us Sai Pallavi. ❤️ If I was not straight , I would have crushed on her so hard!! I really like her kamar!! 😆🤣

I remember that episode where he was taraoing her kamar with so much concentration and Pallu noticed it but did not cover up her kamar or felt any awkward. She was rather enjoying it though she had a poker face. 😆
