Unka intention wo nahi tha wo mujhe pata hai but when you know you have such an audience, you should be careful not to give more fodder to be romanticized.

Okk nazariye baat hain.. I found this as platonic cute 2 friends who really cares for each other..
Par wohi dikkat hai na jaan... they had spent preleap dropping hints about how these are meant to be, she is his perfect other half, etc etc. which is okay if you had a mature audience who perceived the story for what it is intended to be - a pure bond between two souls.
But, they know they have an audience, a major chunk of it who are pairing this kid up with a man and wanting them to be together even off screen in some weird way. Abhi dekho na.. kitne fans pagal hoke pade hai inke who are morphing photos and putting romantic songs for these songs.
So, when the makers or whoever made this decision put in scenes like this or dialogues which mean more than just platonic relationship then it brings in a negative affect as well. Yeh saare cheezo me they need to be very careful because she not a grown adult, wo 16 year ke upar hoti toh phir bhi main kuch bolti nahi because tab tak thodi bahut maturity aa jati hai dimag me.. but she is a kid which is why I find that one particular hug disturbing knowing the kind of impact it had.
