I'd just like any interviewer to catch hold of someone from Sony or 4Lions and ask them these questions (and quote them on it!)

1) Seeing IPZN's popularity in comparison to the rest of Sony's serials, did the talk of a slot change or a OTT switch ever come up in discussion? If yes, why wasn't it seriously considered as an option?

2) Why was the director changed from Lalit Mohan to Tiwari midway?

3) Was the decision to end it primarily a Sony/Set India one or a 4L one?

Many interviews of the show's actors seem to suggest it was a decision of the "makers"

That IMO points to it being more of a 4L call rather than a Sony one.

That's how I see it.

The removal of Lalit Mohan as director, the shoddy direction/editing in Diu, the rushed pace post leap (perhaps indicating they never expected an extension to the original contract) IMO all points to this being more of a 4Lions call.

The reasons could be plenty- not worth their time, or money received from Sony wasn't justifying the money they were putting in, resources could be directed to a show getting better trps offline (Imlie)...etc
