oh my god🤣🤣

i feel really bad for your dupatta--such moments which are shown romantic in TV are actually so funny or awkward or irritating in real life

Mean, show is in hindi

so just asking

I can understand - follow enough hindi to watch the shows and films and all, without subtitles.

But, I would not be able to speak like fluent sentences, and even my pronunciation would be good for laughs 😆

My roots go back to India but then in the times when India was still colonized by the British, my ancestors went to another country, Surinam, for contract work, colonized by the Dutch. Of course, I do not know whether their intention was to make money and go back or settle elsewhere. So then at some point my family decided to leave Surinam and settle in The Netherlands and.. Voila.. here I am today 😆

Our language (related to Hindi) and the culture is somewhat the same and somewhat integrated with the Surinamese and Dutch culture.

Hope you enjoyed the history lesson 😆
