Aaj toh makers ne aise surprise kar diya that I was shocked as to what I saw.
Loved how the makers themselves have trolled this BBC and Imlie's participation in it seemed justified to me. She is not trying to prove anything to anybody, bus apni Delhi wali mom ka longtime sapna pura karna hai. That was why even Adi knew not to come between her and her mannats😆. USe pata hai Imlie ko bewakoofi karne se koi rok nahi sakta, and he has had first hand experience of her bewakoofis working, so he had to give her his support albeit reluctantly (Gash looked so cute in that scene☺️ hayee) to be her chiraiyya girl😆

Bold - So true that Imlie put a stop to Adi's bulldozing ways and explained that your tareeka has fulfilled its purpose and paved the way for her, now step aside, I will handle it my way. Loved it also when he asked what's the plan and she just answers that she will follow her heart and baaki Sita maiyya will take care. She knows this way has always worked for her in the past, and she believes it will work now as well.
Also loved how Imlie reminded the society ladies that being a naukar has it's own perks - you always know the deepest and darkest secrets of everyone and it depends on the type of person and the treatment you give them on how they manage those secrets. She showed them that people living in glass houses should be very careful before throwing stones at others. Loved her last dialogue that was too an extent directed to Aparna as well - When Adi was marrying Malini, tab they commented that Aparna was reaching above her aukaad, while now they want to make fun of her gareebi. There is no pleasing these people, no matter what you do. Aparna seemed to get this, but her anger at her beta (which came out finally today, thank god) is not allowing her to acknowledge Imlie the way she actually does want to.
