No offense but why there is continous comparison between OG and this show in forum... I personally feel this comparison just make members loose interest in this show, I didn't watched OG and don't want to also as I just want to enjoy this show, this is the reason I started skipping reading Discussion here.

Srii, as for which major, I personally want him to pursue law 😆 Maybe specialize in business law as there's too many business related degrees. Someone needs to be able to legally protect the family!

As for Krish, I think he's a lost case. I can't even imagine what he's studying 😆

I personally don't mind as I am more biased towards the shivi story progression, but this was a huge commercial opportunity.the trp viewers love such tracks.especially at a time where the trps are decreasing they could have utilized this.atleast a promo.

Maybe this is just the beginning, hopefully we get some beautiful dhara scenes with her devars, I am curious to see suman's reaction. I want her to know about this.letss see.

Realistically speaking, I think he finished his 12th exams. But it would be interesting to see why he stopped. I personally don't want it to be Dev because at that point, Shiva sacrificed too much for Dev.

However, a little part of me wishes they would throw us a curveball where Shiva is actually somewhat college educated (only his final year pending); however, due to an issue with the store, he drops out of college with the sole reason of, "If it's between upholding my dream vs upholding the family store, I will always choose the family store." GauRa don't know of his sacrifice and believe he dropped out because he couldn't cope with the studies (and as such, the rest of the town taunts him for this)

Of course, nothing I ever asks happens 😆

So his education should come up after he and Raavi fall in love with each other, as per the OG, with Raavi helping him out.

But given how the makers think, you never know, they might set ip the track that Shiva goes to college so he can become "capable" for Raavi, probably on further instigation by Maami 😆🤷‍♀️

I love the college dropout scenario you gave. If he had completed one year of college, he might just be able to pick up where he left off.

But that might lead to further college tracks 🤣 In that case I smell third angle and jealous Raavi 🤣🤣

I completely respect your opinion. Forum members comparing the OG with the show can be a little disconcerting as not everyone can participate (especially if you haven't watched the OG). However, the reason why I struggle to distance myself from the OG is a little like how you compare a book to it's movie adaptation. Both of them offer different things, but you can't help but compare them at every point.

Most of the forum probably has only heard the negatives, but here are a few positives in this show that the OG did not have:

1. Shiva and Raavi have an extensive childhood relationship that has immense potential! There is also great chemistry between KD and Alice. The OG actors were perfect for their roles, but the sizzling chemistry is something that KD and Alice shine!

2. Shiva and Dhara's relationship is something else! Dhanam and Kathir are great, but I always found Kathir to be a little reserved. He immensely respected Dhanam. However, Shiva is very different. He is not afraid of showing his vulnerable side to Dhara, and out of all the brothers, I think Dhara has the greatest soft spot for Shiva. This honestly is very, very, very cute to see on screen!

3. Dhara and Suman's track is a lot more fleshed out! It's something that is unique, suspenseful, and I really can't wait to see how they show the Dhara/Suman relationship once Dhara's mother makes an apperance.

4. Dhara and Gaumbi's love is a next level type of love. The OG did not have this, and I appreciate PS for exploring the sensual side of GauRa.

Apologies again, but the comparisons to the OG was always a great way for me to speculate "What next?" Will definitely tone it down if it bothers you, though.

I completed hw and the episode as well. I loved all your takes -mpks1, manny, priya, esha, avi, aliya, shadowkira( sorry I don't know your name), pixie ..everyone actually- it made the episode more meaningful after reading all your takes
