Aww how sweet tbh I haven't had a Good Gujarati Daal at home since we moved to Ahmedabad. The water is different and the daal is different too.
We are making moong dal most times.
Borivali and Ghatkoper is full of Gujaratis.
In fact, because my family has lived around the for so many years. They even understand Gujrati, cook Gujrati food. Sometimes Marathi too, but since we are vegetarians, follow Gujarati cuisine more at times.
Drashti Dhami, Rucha Gujrati are from Borivali too, in fact they went to the same school as all women in my family (my grandfatherâs sisters to my motherđ)

So is Kandivali Malad Goregoan Vile Parle and South Bombay Mulund almost half of Mumbai.
Gujarat and Maharashtra were part of Mumbai state that's why we have so many Gujaratis. đ
Yes some places are totally Gujarati area.
Honestly we have more farsan shops in 500m radius in most Gujarati areas than in Ahmedabad. We are missing Fafda Jalebi Patra Khandavi Moong Daal wada after coming to Gujarat. Here we have things but at a distance. .
