But Sai as he is born in Telangana and his mother is Telugu speaker so he is half Telugu from mother's side and as his father is from Maharashtra and the language spoken in the state is Marathi so he is half Marathi from his father's side so in total he is Half Marathi Half Telugu based on the respective languages of his parents.

Ok, but what's the different between saying half Maharashtran vs. half Marathi?

People generally doesn't term a native of Maharashtra as Maharashtrian but termed as Marathi as people are most people's nationality is determined based on the language he/.she speaks.
