I don't know why fans are cribbing about Raghav and calling Pallavi OTT when they are doing exactly what I envisioned their characters to do. What Raghav and Pallavi share is not puppy love - They are emotionally connected and intertwined into each other. The creatives have laid it out so nice in the show.

Raghav has emotional bonding with Farhad but even in his moments of despair he could never share his guilt, his story with him. Raghav unfortunately is stuck at the same place - as a 17 year old. He has not forgiven himself for the tragedy that befell his family. He understands the pain that Pallavi is going through but since he still holds himself responsible for the shattering of his family he can't do justice to Pallavi's pain. That is why he offered himself - saying I am willing to take the punishment for the sake of my sister. Is this twisted - Yes absolutely because like Pallavi says 2 wrongs don't make it right. But in many countries, US included for hit and run cases usually the victims settle with momentary compensation. In crude words it is usually the rich paying off the victim party for their misdeeds. Raghav is doing something similar - My sister caused the accident uska barpayi I am going to do by going to jail. In his mind he feels at least Pallavi will feel that the culprit's family served the sentence. Completely twisted idea of Justice - But I totally get why Raghav is like that.

Coming to Pallavi - why did she do the stupid stunt. Because their is no way other that that to be with Raghav. Raghav is on self-destruct mode and only Pallavi can stop him from doing so. Hence she didn't think twice before putting herself in tight spot and landing inside the jail. Pallavi is ahead in this relationship for 2 reasons - She has no emotional baggage in her life prior to Mandar's death and the second thing is she experienced the trigger which totally made her see the face of her baba when VD forced the stupid washing the feet condition on Raghav. She realized the true face of Vijay and the family she was clinging on to and decided to dump the past in past. Unfortunately our Raghav hasn't gotten the trigger yet where he can chuck the past in past and move to secure his present and future.

I really want Pallavi to be hurt in the upcoming track - Shot would be absolutely fantastic because Raghav needs a trigger to realize what he stands to lose if Pallavi is not in his life. Till now he feels that he is not deserving of the love he has gotten from her but once he sees her in life and death situation he will realize that you need to be greedy enough to grab onto your happiness. Otherwise when Mandar comes I wouldn't be surprised if the Gochu would step back and say - Pallavi you are free. It is not because Pallavi is not a priority for Raghav, it is solely because he feels undeserving of having a pure and innocent person like Pallavi love him with all her heart and soul. Hopefully the accident will serve as a trigger for Raghav to fight for his happiness.

I absolutely agree with your points but specially the ones in bold. and to add further, i believe he went to jail for Pallavi, not just to save Keerthi. The Dufus thinks that this way he can give Pallavi some peace.

We have said this here before Pallavi gives things in double, so her love for Raghav will always mean more trust, more respect and more honesty from her to him. So she will also do stupid things, sometimes to just to get a reaction from him.

I somehow don't want an external situation to trigger that in Raghav, because it would feel like he needs her not want her something that we see even in the current situation, he hasn't explicitly mentioned or declared that he wants her for him, and that he in no situation is ever going to take her granted for like the Deshmukhs did. Definitely it would be good to watch him ache for her, but it can be done in a less dramatic situation no?

💯 agreed in bold. The reason we love Raghav regardless of all the blunders he's doing is because he genuinely values Pallavi. Par he expresses it in worst possible ways. For instance, taking the blame and landing himself in jail. All we want is him to realize and express his feelings more explicitly(which involves him craving and pining for her) towards her.

I agree with what Sharda has said. As a girl, we all want our husbands to show and express their love atleast sometimes but for men, it’s actions more than words. My husband is a man of very less words and isn’t not one who shows his love with flowers or gifts but his deeds everyday is enough for me to realise he loves me. He is there for me when I need him.
