Vote and comment which you consider his career-best performance!

I loved his act in Koi Mil Gaya and also in Lakshya...though he was tremendous in his debut year in all 3 movies as well.

Koi Mill Gaya, Hrithik performed both roles fabulously. He danced brilliantly, looked handsome, and had good screen presence.

After this Lakshya, ZNMD.

Agneepath, KMG, Guzaarish, Lakshya, and JA would be my top-5, in that order.

Vijay in Agneepath. Reprising Amitabh Bachchan's role, that too from a film that is considered one of his best and come up trumps is no mean feat. SRK was really good in Don remake but Agneepath was a completely different movie for Amitabh.

He doesn't have that many movies to begin with, but he rarely disappoints with a truly bad performance (see: MPKDH). Other than that one, he wasn't up to his standards at points in Yaadein or MDK, but he wasn't unwatchable.

What I appreciate about HR is I generally feel like he puts in real effort, and he does try and immerse himself with the characters he plays. Even with the other films he's done that have flopped (AMALL & NTJNH, for instance), the issue wasn't his performance.

It's therefore hard to pick from his performances, because I appreciate the work he's done, and some of them are just... so different from each other, so it's comparing apples to oranges. But his acting in Fiza will always be special for me. For his second film, playing that role was a real risk, and he nailed it. I cannot see any of the other A-listers doing justice to that role in the way he did. I've always appreciated him more with heavier scripts than as a mass action star, but I know the Indian Box Office disagrees.

Kites and Guzaarish are his best performances.

I'm so glad you didn't include ZNMD because he was atrocious in it. Style over substance comes to mind with that film, and in particular him.

Lakshya was his best performance from 2000-2009. Fiza is another highlight.

I liked him in Kaabil too. And in Agneepath he did a great job. War too was impressive.

I've got a sneaky feeling, Deepika is going to bring out the best in him ☺️

KNPH. He raised the bar so high with that, he could never match up to his first performance ever.

My favorite remains Kaho Na Pyar Hai. For someone's first movie, it can't get better than that, and it still beats many seasoned actors of bollywood even now. There isn't a single moment where he misses the nuance or fails to deliver the message with his presence. I remember how excited I was when he bust into Ek Pal Ka Jeena and the other one with grand vibes, Sitaaron Ki Mehfil.

My second favorite is ZNMD .... cuz he naturally comes across as a perfectionist in real and undoubtedly suits the role of a money-minded, uptight, finance guy. A hot one at that!

KKKG also wouldn't have been the same without Hrithik in the second half of the movie.

I'll be honest and admit that I couldn't sit through Guzaarish .... and War was mostly a Hrithik-Tiger bromance, a little boring but Hrithik was fine with whatever he had to work with.

Hrithik never disappoints no matter how his movies fare in the box office though ... he's great as a superhero, as a mentally challenged adult, a completely paralyzed man who is done fighting, and he was stealing hearts as a good-looking but very narcissistic and cutting edge, high-profile thief in Dhoom too.

The K3G point really resonates with me. I rewatched it recently, after not seeing it for fifteen or so years. I can't say I really remembered that much of Hrithik and Kareena. But on the re-watch, the two of them saved the movie for me, and frankly, Hrithik's performance holds up much better than SRK's.
