Keerti has taken raghav for granted for years now, so had Amma. And he has permitted them to do so because how guilty he feels.
He's safeguarding keerti not for her, he's doing it more for himself. He clearly said today he won't be able to live with one more 'bojh' (burden) - that he let keeeti go to jail and lived happily ever after with his wife. I have read people mentioning what all will people tell pallavi if raghav ends up in jail for M's death, same goes for raghav- he will be termed selfish for choosing his own happiness over his sister's life. (At least that's what it would look like from afar.)
Pallavi's love for Ds isn't driven by guilt, it's not a burden on her.

I prefer VD to Keerthi..Keerthi has been doing all this behind her mothers back for last 2 years. She is the daughter that no one deserves.

also the fact that he canāt give Pallavi what sheās asking for, he might have felt that any consolation in words would not be enough when he canāt translate it into his actions! He did look affected. Maybe what Pallavi said there is what pushes him to surrendering himself, as the guilt surmounts. Itās like I canāt let my sister go to jail, but punish me instead for all the hurt I have caused you. Idk if Pallavi would go back into her shell, because people react to such things differently. Till now, in this marriage, Pallavi doesnāt come off as a person who will fall back but is someone who will come back with a stronger authority. I kind of like this about her, girl knows her rights!
seeing how hurt Pallavi was I do want that it be addressed, want him to apologise but as of now Raghav doesnāt even think that him going to jail would add to Pallaviās sufferings, he doesnāt know sheās that attached to him! So he doesnāt realise that him choosing keerti over her will also hurt Pallavi, in that way! Right now he even feels that she deserves better. He is cursing himself for all the pain he has caused her.He needs to feel deserving of her, he needs to accept the love thatās coming his way and only then Raghav can see that sheās not sad only because M not getting justice, but also because she feels heās distancing himself from her.
Idk if I could explain my take on this. But this is what I feel.

What I don't understand completely is. - If it was Sunny who was behind the wheels actually, how did Keerti switch on the driver's seat so soon?
Like yeh kaunsi speed hai.
Then Raghav keeps on saying bahut baarish tha. Kuch dikh nahi raha tha.
So he saw Keerti's face but Keerti couldn't see Raghav's face?
So Keerti saw it was Raghav who came out of the car to help Mandar & decided to show her face cos she knew her brother would take care of it all if he thought she was the one who did it
