I was exactly the same. I was studious in class, did all hw, and read through all the chapters. But when it came to exams or writing papers (cause I can't write to save my life), I always procrastinated till the night before.

The only time I actually had to study in advance was for the CPA exams, but there also, for the majority of the time, I ended up studying within the last week with some time off as I couldn't study much with work.
