Ts ko idea bhi nahin hai that this is a soul connection forged in the fire of that trauma. That is why it is too deeply rooted within both of them now and is the greatest truth of their lives.

I actually got livid when they were so easily dismissing Adi-Imlie's trauma of being married at gunpoint. These 2 have had a journey since then & their relationship has been forged in the fires of this trauma. They have gone through so much together to minimise the hurt of their family due to this trauma & now they are being asked to forget it as if it was no big deal. Adi was literally living in suffocation because of hiding the truth against his principles.

Ts can never understand how Adi-Imlie have found themselves & each other through all the pain & hurt that they have suffered through. They have become each others safe place & home. Inke bond ki value toh woh dono khud hi jaante hai. Abhi Ts will get to see at least some of the depths of their love for each other when they will fight against their loved ones to continue to hold onto each other. Inhe koi idea nahi hai how they literally become lifeless without each other.

It is actually endearing that adi has such a low opinion about himself so it makes him thrive to be a better person every single day on every single occasion.. it is not low self esteem ...there is a huge difference.. he is sorted but he doesn't think so highly about himself and definately does not consider himself perfect. Again a quality that sets him apart from other characters caz they always have a God complex and if not than also ke mere se zyada theek koi hi nahi sakta .. he just knows that he can be a better human..and honestly knowing jitna adi ko jaante hain Hum he is far far better than many out there with all his flaws

Word to the bold. It’s really hard to describe why that bit floored us so. I guess cuz it was ASSERTIVE without feeling like an imposition. There was a fierce determination in Adi to not back down, to see this through ….and to assertively hold Imlie’s hand through her fears. That is why in just a few small words and gestures, everything got conveyed….the way he held out his hand with that HAQ….and then the soft but determined, “chalo humare saath”….it just said EVERYTHING about their dynamic and how very different it is from anything else. Kuch alag hi plane pe hain yeh dono

Oh I missed this earlier but yaar am a mushy all just reading this.. you are so bang one about how hard it is to put in words why it hit a chord straight away and how it is moments like this that further enhance inka out of the world dynamic..it is like they had a half around them even though they were in middle of a tornado..but like something protecting them too from outside that just makes them totally lost into each other and jaise outside world se cut ho jaata hai ek but like while trying to answer back too.. idk it is so hard to explain what am trying to say..like yeah they are facing outside world but it is more in a different world apne main jo junoon hai woh sar chadh ke bolta hai in these moments woh depth actually comes through

I think this is one rare show that shows everyone from A to Z having their fair share of flaws 😆 and that itself makes it so worth it .. yeah it is frustrating but we know we cannot put them in buckets..ke yeh positive hai yeh negative hai yeh bura hai yeh acha hai..caz koi bhinfukly ek.bucket main nahi aata.. except maybe 1 dimensional didi and unke Abba.

HAHA At adi ka main bura but aap toh ache..😆 so true hence his plea to BK too ke meri toh sun nahi rahe aap hi try kar lo aapka lihaaz kar lein shayad.. and BK ka ab main kya boloon main toh khud confuse hoon..I just found it so endearing how adi went to BK ..I think I have said it before too that I live this tauji Bhatia dynamic too and I see so much of BK ke values in adi it is like BK was responsible for Intilling Sanskaar and adi really looks upto him and it shows bohat baar his first point if contact in any such situation at home is badke kaaka he always asks him to control the situations.. ..I am still not over his aao aisa sochte hain..and the shock he had at BK ka response the way that tear fell from his eye and he did the little nod oh yeah right wala. God so much to notice and go over .. the more you watch the more you see the detailing..

And yes ofcourse it remains funny how they ask them to forget as if morning alarm band kia and bhool gaye and not life altering for them chahein bhi toh kabhi nahi bhool sakte kabhi bhi nahi

@bold1: Bilkul. The show very much tries to show most of the characters as grey and their reactions to many situations are built around their respective characterizations and triggers of good or bad. The intent is definitely there from a writing perspective but it’s a hit or miss execution wise. Obviously it’s a royal failure on the Didi front 😆….cuz she’s the only character who’s flaws are never acknowledged and she barely apologizes for any of her mistakes or misbehavior.

In Aparna’s case, for all the hurtful things she can say in anger, I know her apology will be just as heartfelt coz she is a genuine person at the end of the day. Not khokhli like Cs.

@bold2: Oh yeah, it’s definitely true that Adi has relied on BK to be the voice of reason over his own parents many times so it broke his heart when he didn’t get support from there today either.

Adi did indeed think ki sab usse achhe hain toh kaise naraaz ho sakte hain Imlie se 😆….she’s so naturally lovable and they fell in love with her before he did. That’s the naive hope he was going with…..which got shattered along with the picture frame Aparna threw to the floor 😆

He still has yet to understand ki yeh sach is too huge a shock for them to process on multiple levels. He was hoping family waale will just blame him but Imlie is bearing the brunt just as she had feared. At the end of the day, they both lied about this for so long. Consequences toh hone hi the for both.

There is so much to write and catch up on... can I say the buildup towards the revelation was totally unexpected.. that was a nice move from the makers. some thoughts below on Apu's words.. and her reaction.

Imagine yourself as Apu and suddenly one day, your son introduces the girl who has been living in your house as a maid is called her bahu, saying he is married to her.. the shock that she received along with the others is huge... no way she can accept it at face value. Normally when the son gets married, all the naam, khoon, khandaan is looked at and then marriages are fixed. Even if the son is dating someone like Malini, they knew the family bg etc and approved of the shaadi, even tolerated all the insults etc from Anu as they are khandaani... etc.. I know that folks cannot digest this.. but trust me real life..aisa hi hai...

Next up, how come Apu forgot all that Imlie has done for them... she has not forgotten them but in light of what has just been revealed, the deception is a far bigger thing. She showered Imlie with affection and in return Imlie deceived her, that is all Apu can focus on right now. She is very hurt and in that hurt, she is lashing out at her son/bahu in pain, calling her names, that are difficult to hear.. but that is exactly how a person would react in real life.. they all know that Imlie does not have a father's name or know nothing about her bg, just that she is from a village.. they know she is intelligent n smart.. simple.good. etc

This is same with Apu, as long as Imlie was the maid, they are ok with things and will shower her with love.. when it affects them directly, then it is a diff issue, they are answerable to society n relatives.. we have seen that they are concerned about that.. Imlie is a 3rd person, easy to dismiss whereas Malini checks all the boxes on paper. She is accepted by society and has the pedigree too.

Unless we judge a person purely on their actions and not by naam, khoon, khandaan, this vicious cycle will keep repeating. That is what the makers want to show here I think.. change in the mentality of the Tripathis from denial to acceptance, the journey of Adilie together too

Looking forward to the discussions 😃

Superb gifs and caps from both of you as always @AY, @NM 👍🏼

@bold: Yes, that’s exactly what it is. Aparna has not forgotten what all Imlie has done for them or the love they’ve shared. But the deception has hit her too hard and clouded her mind now. The bottom line remains that Imlie did lie to her about such a big thing for so long. That is what Aparna is reeling over. That is why she’s feeling like all the love she gave to Imlie was a mistake cuz she feels stabbed in the back.

It will take time for Aparna to process the WHY of this. Ki WHY did Imlie lie to her and hid such a big truth for SO long? That is the crucial thing Aparna will need to understand about why Adi Imlie did what they did. Right now they are not in a state of mind to comprehend the complex nature of the way situations unfolded and what all Adilie went through at each stage. They don’t even know Adi tried to leave her at an NGO. They don’t even know that Imlie was protecting Adi’s life all this while from PD waale by maintaining the facade on both sides and allowing him to maintain his choices at every point at her own cost…..they don’t even know how long she did try to walk away from Adi and make him stay committed to Malini. There is a LOT of CONTEXT the Ts need to know to actually understand what happened and WHY.

As for NKK….lol I do get your point about how the makers want to touch on it in general terms that Aparna is giving a knee jerk reaction to learning Imlie is her bahu cuz all the things that never mattered to her earlier are suddenly mattering to her when viewing Imlie as the wife of her son…..but I still think these are very surface level reactions from Aparna. She isn’t that level of rigid NKK believer like a Pinky or SSO 😆….she’s just confused more about log kya kahenge than she is about actually thinking someone is low in worth if they don’t have NKK.
The issue for her right now seems like woh society mein kaise explain karegi Imlie being Adi’s wife….Malini was an easy one to present as her bahu and Imlie is a jhalli kid in her eyes. That’s what she’s rebelling against right now but otherwise she genuinely loves Imlie and will soon again see the qualities she always loved in Imlie in a new light as she sees how well Imlie is actually suited for Adi and this family.

Word. This is what makes him a person worthy of regard 👏….despite his many flaws and general khadoospana 😛😆…..He acts stern but doesn’t consider himself above everyone else. That’s the difference.

Thoda self esteem issue toh hai I feel with everyone constantly telling him how bura or mean he is 😆….that’s made him detached over time but it hasn’t taken away his ability to self introspect still. That’s what makes him compelling to watch 😊
