Thank you 🤗I completely agree! I would have loved to see some more of their interactions as children! Or even teenagers! I think both of them unknowingly have done a number on each other. Raavi loved him like family but somewhere she gave off the vibe that her love comes from her desire to be like Dhara and her need to win Dev’s approval. Her being nice to him in front of the family was never about him (atleast looking at it from Shiva’s POV). When the two were alone, I’m sure she rejected him many times and said things that left a much deeper impact than intended. Likewise, he never gave her any reason to break the barrier of hatred and be kind. It’s sad how decisions and actions we take when we are younger leave such a lasting impact.
O, man! This is a unique take! The choices we make and the chances we take during our formative years shape our entire life 🤗
Even Raavi’s friend’s words are no different from hers. “Jungle Man” reminded me of “Machar Main” and of course kirane ki dukaan was used before. The friend was obnoxious but I’m guessing this isn’t the first time they have spoken about Shiva like this. I wonder if Shiva ever overheard them in the past... I started writing a piece a long time back that I abandoned. It’s about teenage Shiva overhearing Raavi mocking him in front of her friends. It became a little too much for me to keep writing. But they literally have a gold mine to explore here. So much has led to them standing where they are now.I really really hope the team does justice to this track 😒💔
I am so not hopeful this time as the makers, in their quest to make it light-hearted, tend to take away from the critical drama elements!
They have a goldmine to explore for sure! If only! Sigh!
I love reading your takes!
P.S- Please write more 🤗

Just a thought:
I would love if the actual episode doesn’t show Shiva getting drunk. Over the years, I have developed a distaste for scenes of ML’s getting drunk and being angry at the FL or pouring out their feelings. I understand, sometimes it’s human nature to reach for the bottle when the pain becomes too much to handle. I’m personally a happy drunk... I drink to celebrate and prefer icecream when I’m ready to cry buckets 😆 my bestie is the opposite. Each to their own. I do understand why writers use this trope to allow a character to let out suppressed emotions. It’s just not my preferred scenario.
On screen, most of the time it becomes OTT. And it’s not the actor’s fault. The dialogues become slightly cringy and the entire attention is taken away from the core emotions. There are very few scenes under this category that are done right on ITV. Most of them are just over dramatic and involve unnecessary aggression. As someone who enjoys subtlety, I would have preferred a silent walk down a quiet street, him sitting on his tree too numb to react or a scene in the shower where all the memories wash over him. And then after that, we see Shiva come home late or he just avoids talking to Raavi. She provokes him and he blurts out that he read her diary. They have a confrontation but mostly from Raavi’s side. Shiva, being emotionally exhausted, withdraws into his shell. 💔
Anyway, I just hope the scene is presented with utmost care. Shiva’s heartbreak deserves to be remembered as one of the most powerful scenes on the show 💔
Lol, I'm someone who doesn't drink (alcohol tasted too much like cough medicine for me, and after trying out 8-9 different drinks, I gave up 😆). Ice cream is great! But my go to comfort food is spicy food finished off with chocolate. Cheers me up every time!
In the Tamil version, I thought the scene was perfect! It focused less on Kathir's stumbling and utter drunkness and more on Kathir's emotions, and I hope, if Shiva does drink, the scene is set at the same standards. The general set up of the breakdown is different here, so I am waiting to see what the CVs are cooking up for us this time.
The scene you described would be perfect if there is a Pandya Store book version! I do like the idea of the tree (more than the shower scene as I don't want KD's body to detract from the scene either 😆). However, instead of telling Raavi he read the diary, I wish he just handed it back to her, no questions or comments spoken. Then, if Raavi begins a confrontation, Shiva could lament how he always trusted her, but she never seemed to trust him and they could have flashback scenes of the kidnapping, kangan kaand, etc.
@bold, this is the reason I started watching Pandya Store. I was so moved by Kathir's heartbreak and was interested to see how Pandya Store would handle it.

This is pure gold! ❤️
I honestly am a big fan of drunk confessions and not the funny ones or the Gul Khanesque masochistic one!
One of my favourites is from Gulaal-Sphere Origins show. I am not elaborating here, but somehow, I feel the tree would have made a considerable impact too!

Official symptoms of Shiva dancing on your head like a Bhootnath 🤣
Maybe that BTS of Raavi wearing pre marriage clothes is for a flashback scene they’ll show when Shiva’s reading her diary 😭😭😭😭
