Ishti Kutum was a comedy drama unlike Imlie it had a lot of light heartedness. Only Komolika's character was presented tragically but she was very much loved character like Malini. But in Ishti Kutum all the lead characters were loved unlike Imlie where Aditya Imlie are hated. Actually in IK Archi didnt hided his force marriage secret and told Komolika everything but in Imlie both the leads hided it from Malini.

Fun fact Komolika's nickname was Mun too like Malini.

But in ishti too adlie were cheaters.right?when mohi n the malayalam remake were made people wrote that if they follow the bengali version it will become controversy.heard that there were controversial scenes too in ishti.
