i wanted to make this post long back but i was waiting for some time to pass after few days post leap. This show dealt with social issues. I follow this show on and off.. some tracks were dumb & tested my patience! some track i couldnt accept but i liked this show from the start! this show required a leap to take story forward. I enjoyed little Bondita and Anirudh& im loving grownup as well. Lately i see lot of people criticizing Anchal Sahu who is playing grown up Bondita. But she is perfect fit in the role. I'm not liking Anirudh's behavior post leap. A Barrister who believes in breaking the stereotypes becomes Don. Carries a gun with him? Maye he goes around and kill people? These actions are not fair to me.
coming to the topic. Was Anirudh and Bondita's relationship always of a teacher a student? Anirudh never fell in love with his wife ? For me he did. The makers of the show deliberately skipped that angle to escape from controversies like that happed with their other shows. yes they did show Bondita falling for Anirudh. But can you expect a husband and wife's relationship to be platonic alone? considering the era There were many child marriage and new mothers after Puberty. Anirudh was a different husband of the era who wanted to educate his wife make her self sufficient. He was in dilemma because he is strict opposer of Child marriage. But there were instance when he slipped as well. But they showed those times as Platonic relationship just as an escape strategy for two reason; 1. to escape from controversy, 2. Aura was a child to show any romantic angle. They were platonic in many instances but then they truth is they did fall in love. But as an adult i dont find anything wrong by falling in love with your Ex- Husband. After all everything Bondita learnt was from Anirudh. In the era were men treated women like their slaves, Anirudh treated Bondita as Princess, educated her, made her self- sufficient, protected her from the evils of the society. It is only natural to fall in love with such a guy even as a Kid (at that age Bondita did not understand what their relationship or feelings meant). Their relationship can be platonic but why cant a husband be a teacher and friend to her wife? After all they are husband and wife, if they haven't revoked their marriage they had to share relationship of husband and wife in future. But i do understand what Anirudh feels, he literally saw Bondita growing up, he married her at tender age against his principles, she was his zinmadari, a guru to Bondita; It is hard for him to see her in a romantic angle compared to Bondita. But we cannot deny that somewhere he too fell in love with Bondita.
