yeah and that's what I love about this show

he definitely cares for her and he knows he can't live without her

but that doesn't change his feelings to love for her immediately, he needs to realize that it's love that is making him feel like this

A brother can move the earth for their sister. Nothing ott here any brother will do that. That too an unmarried sister who has a long life ahead.
