Hotstar needs to stop releasing the episodes so much before on air time. They can do it after. I have wondered this time and again. Why are they doing this, while most of the other platforms like sony liv etc do it only after people have watched it on tv.

55k households actuallu, but yes, basically. It boils down to be an outdated system, with measurement technology not up to date with viewership technology, and a complete lack of transparency. I think this PDF was released after tons of criticism the system received on it's opacity last year, but it's such a painful document to read if you want to learn more. And idk, I guess I feel like as consumers, we have the right to know all this, which is why I wish BARC was more transparent with this.
