This has to be attributed to covid and male stars' unwillingness to release their movies on OTT. Otherwise most of them would have had releases within two years max.

Someone like an Akshay cannot afford to wait till theatres open because then he will have ten films to release and his own films will eat into each other's business.

Salman released Radhe because it was an absolute shit product that was destined to be a disaster. They got a good price, so they sold it off to OTT.

Radhe is a good movie. It highlights the drug pandemic among youth. It is far from being a disaster as it earned 230+ crores before its release. That's the highest amount any movie was bought in the last year, thereby cracking the biggest deal of pandemic times in Indian cinema.

Radhe also released in theaters in overseas markets (US/Canada, Gulf, Australia/New Zealand) and it earned a good amount from theatrical release.

It's a blessing that Aishwarya stopped releasing movies. All her recent movies have been pure crap disasters (Jazbaa, Sarabjit, Fanney Khan). No one in Bollywood is offering her movies anymore so she has to go beg for work in South. Good for the audience...who wants to see her screaming and overacting?
