People in the youtube comments said its because he supported anti CAA protests and made government related videos while he was on a tourist visa, and apparently doing that violates the tourist visa
I dont think it was becuase of his visit to Pakistan, he is a citizen of New Zealand so is free to visit any country he wants, and I dont think there is a rule that says if you visit Pakistan you get blacklisted from going into India

Oh he did..
If I remember correctly he had hard time getting visa of Pakistan..
His wife went to gurdwara Kartarpur sahib alone and he remained in India.

A lot of countries have restrictions on tourist visas prohibiting activism or reporting, especially related to govt issues and local laws. However, the thing is these rules are there to prohibit extreme bad faith actors from misusing a tourist visa. Democratic nations rarely push back against tourists. Such pushback is usually associated with authoritarian and fascist regimes like China.
Otherwise, there have been tons of foreign students and tourists in the United States who participated in the BLM protests and were critical of the government. Many Hollywood celebrities and workers are Canadians or foreign nationals who are in the USA with work permits and other visas are critical of the US government. Even the Trump administration known for hitting back didn't blacklist people willy nilly.
If India blacklisted this guy for participating in protests and criticizing the government, and he is not part of any genuine threat against the state, then it's proof that India has descended into fascism.
