Actually it was shown at some instances in early episodes as well. After jagrata dadi did not want Mayank-Ishqi wedding to happen grom their house. But Ahaan said Maine decide kiya shadi yahi se hogi. Dadi was like ab tumne kar liya decide to main kya kar sakti hu.

He loves dadi and try to please her but he is definitely not dadi's boy who follows her blindly.

I hope it remains that way.
I think he only tries to please dadi because he doesn’t have parents and if dadi is also not there then he will again get the feeling of being an orphan.

It is neither. It is like she knows if Ahaan decides something he would do it and nobody can change his decision. So she doesn't want to challenge it as that would mean they will have conflict and maybe one-day Ahaan might lose respect for her.

I had the same question, and then told myself maybe Ahaan was too tired to do anything? 😆 It sounds very unconvincing though.

also is it possible that through her hold on Ahaan she keeps other siblings in check, that is also a reason that she doesn’t want fiction between the two?
