Part - 7

Rishita says with a weird smile “phir tho suhaag raat hi hogana”

Hearing what Rishita just said, Shiva gives her a weird look and asks sarcastically

Shiva: main hairaan kyun nahi hu?

Rishita just realises what she said and tries to hide her embarrassment by teasing Shiva

Rishita: isme hairaan ki baat kya hai? mujhe aisa kyu dekh rahe ho jaise shaadi ki bad suhag raat manane ka kuch irada hi nahi hai

Shiva keeps giving murderous look to Rishita. But Rishita is not bothered by that. She continues her teasing

Rishita: Ajeeb hai. Bechari Raavi.

Rishita hugs Raavi and says sympathetically “oh my baby”

Raavi hugs Rishita back.

Shiva has lost the count of hugs between Raavi and Rishita and he is irritated. He forcibly pulls Raavi out of Rishita’s hug and makes her stand close to him and tells her strictly

Shiva: Raavi tu idhar aa. Aisi choti choti baaton ke liye hug karna zaroori nahi hai. Samjhi tum?

Raavi nodes her head silently. Rishita is offended by Shiva’s action and she wants to take revenge

Rishita: Raavi! lagta hai teri computer sirf suhaag raat ki khilaf nahi balki hug ke khilaf bhi hai. Patha nahi tujhe inse shaadi karke kya milne wala hai.

Raavi looks at Shiva longingly. Shiva is embarrassed by Rishita’s antics.

Rishita: par main hug karne me kabhi kanjoosi nahi karti hu. Aajao meri pyari TB

Rishita again tries to hug Raavi who is standing next to Shiva. Shiva rolls his eyes and comes in front of Raavi and stands between her and Rishita and smirks at Rishita.

Rishita gives him an angry look and steps back

Rishita: kuck log haina? nahi khud kuch karte hai nahi dusro ko kuch karne deta hai

Shiva turns to Raavi and asks her seriously

Shiva: Raavi! Poore duniya mein dosti karne ke liye tujhe sirf ye defective piece hi mili kya?

Rishita: exercise me! Main koi defective piece nahi hu.

But Raavi is lost in some thoughts as she is genuinely worried by Rishita’s words about Shiva and she wants to clarify this with Shiva

Raavi: Shiva! Rishita jo bol rahi hai kya wo sach hai?

Shiva: tu iski baat par vishvas math kar. Ye sach me defective piece hi hai

Raavi rolls her eyes

Raavi: uff Shiva! Main iske bare me nahi puch rahi hu

Shiva: phir?

Raavi asks him hesitantly “woh kya haina...Rishita bol rahi hai ki tujhe suhaag manane ka kuch iraada nahi hai. Kya ye sach hai? Hamare suhaag raat nahi hoga?”

Shiva: tu itni dher chup chap kade hokar ye hi soch rahi thi?

Raavi: darasal...haan

Shiva looks at Raavi in disbelief.

Raavi: Bolona....hamare suhaag raat nahi hoga?

Rishita rubs salt on the wound

Rishita: Raavi puch rahi hai nah....jawab dedona

Shiva is embarrassed by Rishita and Raavi’s open group discussion on Suhaag Raat. He rolls his eyes and shakes his head at Raavi gesturing her not to talk further. Raavi misunderstands that Shiva is answering her question in negative

Raavi: kya bol raha hai tu? Nahi hoga hamare suhaag raat?

Shiva hits his forehead with his hand and starts searching for a hard wall. Rishita tries to use Shiva’s silence to her advantage

Rishita: dekh Raavi! Lagta hai ki teri computer ki algorithm me kuch gadbad hai. Kuch important software miss hora hai. Ho sakta hai ki kuch hardware ka problem bhi ho

Shiva is annoyed and feels like killing Rishita with his bare hands. Raavi is worried more and asks Shiva hesitantly

Raavi: Shiva! Kya sach me teri andar wo software nahi hai?

Shiva gives a murderous look to Raavi and says angrily

Shiva: pehele shaadi tho hone de. Phir bataunga ki meri andhar kya hai aur kya nahi hai

Raavi feels shy and she smiles

Now Rishita is embarrassed by Shiva’s words. She closes her eyes and covers her ears with her hands and chants non-stop “Control x.....Control x....Control x......control x....”

Raavi: Arey Rishita! Pehele hi kuch nahi hora hai aur upar se tu bol rahi ho ki ‘x’ ko control karo. Phir tho Shiva bhi apni bhai Dev jaise ban jayega

Rishita stops chanting for a while and says to Raavi

Rishita: woh wala X nahi hai

Raavi: phir konsi?

Rishita: computerwala

Rishita resumes her chanting, “control x.....control x......”

Finally Raavi understands that Rishita is talking about computer shortcut keys ‘control x’ for cutting Shiva’s words. Rishita keeps chanting “control X...”

Shiva is confused and asks Raavi: ab kya bol rahi hai?

Raavi: cut karne keliye bol rahi hai

Shiva is scared to death wondering what Rishita is telling Raavi to cut and mutters under his breath “Ye Raavi ne mujhe kahan phasa di?” and looks at Rishita with fear in his eyes as if she works in slaughter house for 24/7.

Not wanting to take any further risk, Shiva decides to leave the place immediately.

Shiva: Raavi! Mujhe dukaan me bohut sare kaam hai. Chal chalte hai

Raavi: par hamare problem ko solution tho nahi mila

Shiva: yaha solution nahi milega kyunki teri friend khud problems ki dukaan hai

Rishita who still keeps chanting “control x” finally stops and opens her eyes and looks at Shiva

Rishita: main problems ki dukaan hu?

Shiva: haan

Rishita: Maine tho solution batayi thi

Shiva: kya?

Rishita: tum dono court marriage karlo

Shiva: ye solution nahi hai balki badi problem hai

Raavi and Rishita both are shocked by Shiva’s words

Rishita: dekh Raavi! Tujse shaadi karna Shiva ko problem lagrah hai

Raavi is hurt and she asks him while fighting back her tears

Raavi: Shiva tu yesa kyun bol rahe ho? Mujhe se shaadi nahi karna chahte ho?

Shiva feels bad for Raavi and tries to comfort her

Shiva: dekh Raavi yesa kuch baat nahi hai

Raavi: phir kaisa hai Shiva? Tu jaantha haina ki main tum se kitne pyar karti hu aur tere bina jee nahi sakti hu

Shiva holds Ravi’s hand gently and says in soft voice

Shiva: main sab jaantha hu. Par hamari problems ko ye court marriage solution nahi hai

Raavi: par main court marriage karna chahti hu. Please maan jao

Shiva: dekh Raavi! Iske alava bhi to kuch solution ho sakta hai

Raavi: par main kuch aur solution nahi chahti hu. Jitna jaldi ho sake utna jaldi tujhse shaadi karna chahti hu. Maasi ma kuch bhi kar sakte hai. Aur nahi jee sakti hu main tujhse alag hone ka dar mein.

Shiva could understand Raavi’s insecurities and restlessness and he tries to assure her

Shiva: dekh Raavi! tum mujpar barosa karti ho na?

Raavi nodes her head silently.

Shiva: phir dar kis baat ki?

Raavi: ab kuch math bol. Please court marriage ke liye maan jao Shiva. Please. Dev ke shaadi hone tak hum ghar pe kisi ko bhi hamare shaadi ke baare me nahi batayenge. Teek hai?

Shiva: woh teek nahi rahega Raavi

Raavi’s hurt and disappointed by Shiva’s refusal. Rishita gets angry on Shiva for hurting Raavi and she shouts at Raavi

Rishita: dekh Raavi! Isiliye main tujhse kehthi thi ki insaan par viswas math kar ise acha tho meri computer hai jo ek do maar khaakar har bar boot ho jata hai...par teri Shiva se kuch nahi honewala hai

Shiva gives an angry look to Rishita and tells her sarcastically

Shiva: Rishita maatarani! Ab aap ki bhashan band keejiye

Rishita is provoked by Shiva’s sarcasm and Raavi’s tears

Rishita: kyun band karu apni bhashan ko? Ye ek pagal ladki hai jisko abi bhi samajh nahi aaya ki abi tak iski boy friend ne iske saath sirf time pass kar raha tha

Raavi and Shiva both get angry on Rishita

Raavi: Rishita! Tu Shiva se yesa baat nahi kar sakthi

Rishita:toh kaise baat karu? mahodya aapki badi meharbani se ek apala naari ke zindagi barbad hogayi dhanyawad.

Raavi: Rishita please chup hojao

Rishita: nahi. Shiva tu sach me Raavi se pyar karte ho?

Shiva: is me kya doubt hai?

Rishita: phir ise Court marriage karne me kya problem hai?

Shiva turns to Raavi and looks into her eyes.

Shiva: par yesa shaadi nahi karna chahta hu. Raavi aur mera shaadi Sirf kagaz me nahi balki poore Somnath ke saamne dhoom dhaam se hoga.Raavi hamesha apni shaadi ko lekar badi badi sapne dekhi hai. Wo saare sapnon ko main tootne nahi doonga.

Raavi is touched by Shiva’s words and tears gather in her eyes and she hugs Shiva. Shiva hugs Raavi back. They both are lost in the hug.

Thanks for bearing with me for the last few parts which were full of long dialogues and banters. So tried to keep the dialogue as minimum as possible in this part. Some dialogues I have written in English as I am finding it difficult to maintain the flow in Hindi. Thanks for all the support so far. Please share your thoughts.

Part - 8

ShiVi are still hugging each other. Rishita is touched by Shiva’s words and she keeps looking at ShiVi happily. She clears her throat to bring back ShiVi back to this world. ShiVi come back to their senses and move away from each other. Raavi tells Shiva that he is important to her more than her dreams about their wedding ceremony and she doesn’t mind how they get married. Shiva tries to convince her not to rush things. But Raavi is adamant that they have to go ahead with Rishita’s plan of Court marriage. Finally Shiva agrees for Court marriage as he too doesn’t want to take any chance knowing Prafulla’s obsession with America dream. ShiVi decide that they will keep their court marriage a secret till Dev gets married. Raavi is happy. Rishita also feels happy for her friend and she is too excited about ShiVi’s court marriage decision. Raavi wonders how to do the Court marriage. Rishita offers to help ShiVi as her father Janardhan knows someone in the District Court who registers the court marriages.

Rishita: tu chinta mat kar Raavi! Meri papa haina wo sab kuch sambhalenge. Meri papa ka dost District Court me kaam karte hai. Unke madad se aaj tak meri papa ne 99 love marriages kara chuke hai. Aap dono ke shaadi 100th hojayigi

Shiva rolls his eyes and says sarcastically: dekh Raavi! Ye Rishita teri madad nahi kar rahi hai balki apni papa ki century ka intezam kar rahi hai

Raavi: please chup raho Shiva warna Rishita madad nahi karegi

With a smirk Rishita goes inside and brings Janardhan along with her. Raavi greets him and Janardhan gestures every one to sit.

Jaanu: Rishita told me everything. I am happy to help you people. I have already helped 99 couples to get married.

Raavi: Thanks uncle.

Shiva does not respond.

Raavi notices that Shiva is not involving himself fully in the conversation and she understands that Shiva feels bad about getting married without their families but he agreed for her sake. She whispers in Shiva's ears " Shiva! tu teek ho?"

Shiva says "mmm"

Janardhan notices the restlessness in ShiVi and tries to comfort them.

Jaanu: You people don't be worried. I will take care of everything

Raavi: Uncle, we are little hesitant to get married without our families

Jaanu: bas itni si baat hai. aap dono ke family ko bhi saath me lekar aao. Courtwale mana thodi kar denge?

Shiva rolls his eyes and whispers in Raavi's ears "dekh....jaise beti waise baap"

Raavi nudges him at his elbow and gestures him to be quiet.

Rishita explains the story so far to Janardhan and he understands that ShiVi families should not be present during the marriage. Still Janardhan assures ShiVi that he will make one member from both families as witness for their court marriage. ShiVi are surprised and wonder how that is possible. Janardhan tells ShiVi to leave the execution part to him and he will take care. But seeing the specimen piece Rishita, Shiva doubts Janardhan and tells Raavi it would be better if they keep Jaanu and Rishita out of the court marriage matter. But Raavi being the bestie of Rishita trusts her and Janu completely and assures Shiva that everything will be fine. They discuss and fix the marriage in the next week. Janardhan collects the family details of ShiVi and ask them to bring certain documents on the day of marriage.

Next day....

Janardhan comes to Prafulla's house in the guise of US Visa agent and lures her with fake stories about successful VISA applications processed by him. Prafulla thinks that her Bogilal only has come in the guise of Janardhan to take her to America. Jagat warns her not to trust random people. But Prafulla's America dream blinds her and she tells everything from her childhood dreams, her break up with Praful Pandya and the legendary history behind the Green Card hanging on the wall in her living room. For a second, Janardhan genuinely feels bad for Prafulla and tells her that when Praful Pandya had decided to leave her she should have approached Janardhan so that he could have done her Court marriage with Praful Pandya. Prafulla exhales and tells Janardhan to forget about the past and enthusiastically tells him about the NRI alliance she got for Raavi and how it is not far for her dream to come true. Janardhan feels bad for Prafulla for one more time thinking that her dream is going to shatter again. But Janardhan's aspirations to hit a century.... i.e. to do 100th court marriage, suppresses his sympathy hormones towards Prafulla and he mercilessly lies to Prafulla that it is better to apply for US VISA in advance so that if she plans a destination marriage for Raavi in US, the VISAs will be ready by the time of the marriage. Prafulla is overwhelmed by Janardhan's gyan and she feeds him a sumptuous lunch prepared by her. Janardhan enjoys the lunch very much and feels sad that he won't get any more chance to eat that delicious lunch once Prafulla finds out the truth. He doesn't fail to curse Rishita's mother for her horrible cooking which he believes drove Rishita towards computers. Finally Janardhan gets the signature of Prafulla and Jagat in ShiVi's Court marriage application disguising it as US Visa Application and bids farewell to her with heavy heart and leaves. Prafulla keeps looking at the trailing image of Janardhan with gratitude and happy tears in her eyes. She goes into her la la land and imagines that Statue of Liberty is running towards Prafulla in slow motion with the back ground song

Janardhan assigns to Rishita the responsibility of obtaining the signature of one witness from Pandya Parivaar in the marriage application of ShiVi. So Rishita goes to Pandya Store where she is received by Dev with brotherly love. Dev thinks that Rishita is a customer who has come to buy some grocery.

Dev: Boliye behenji kya chahiye aapko

Rishita (offended): behenji nahi.... Rishita 5G

Dev: Rishita ji

Rishita: 5G

Dev: Rishita ji ji ji ji ji....kya chahiye aapko?

Rishita rolls her eyes

Rishita: bhai saab aap rehene deejiye. behenji hi teek hai

Dev: Teek hai behenji. aap ko kya chahiye

Rishita: aap hi chahiye.

Dev is shocked and stammers: lagta hai ki aap galat jagah pe aagaye. Hum idhar woh wala business nahi karte hai

Rishita: hello...main kuch aisi waisi ladki nahi hu. main aap se kuch madad maangne aayi hu

Dev: Yaha madad bhi nahi bej the. aap jayiye

Rishita: shhhhhhh...

Dev goes mute. Finally Rishita lies to Dev that she is getting married to her boyfriend in Court as her gunda father is against love marriages and she wants Dev to be a witness for the marriage by signing some papers. Dev is astonished by Rishita's request and literally shivering in fear. Rishita tries to convince him by saying that there is no risk involved in the matter as her father is going to hit a century in doing court marriages. Dev is hell confused as to why she has to ask his help if her father himself did 99 court marriages. He replies to Rishita that marriage itself is a sin and doing that without the knowledge of family members is mega sin. Rishita promises him that later she will buy him Surf Excel to wash all his sins and insists him to sign the papers. Dev is still not signing. Rishita tries to catch his hand to at least get his thumb impression on the marriage application. Dev keeps moving backward. At the right moment Rishita catches Dev's hand with hers. That is it. A current passes through Dev's body but all other things on the planet stop... earth stops rotating, trees stop swaying, river stop flowing, waves stop running, wind stop blowing, bicycles, two wheelers, cars, city buses, metro trains, aero planes, Ships stop moving, clocks stop ticking, wifi stops working and finally the blood inside Dev's body stops flowing.
