Double Century ka Dhamaka

First off, Happy 200th episode to all Imlie fans🥳. We have reached the much awaited milestone. While today's episode was a mixed bag forme, thought to start the thread so that we can together contemplate what happened today.

I am not going to go into a synopsis, coz utna bhi interesting nahi tha, just going to jump in with some of my observations:

1) We got some continuity from yesterday's episode with a conversation between Adi & Imlie regarding telling the truth. While Adi's foreboding came true in the latter part of the episode, both of them right now are wary on how to manage the truth in a way that it does not come out in a wrong way and cast questions on their marriage. Adi has been clear from the time he accepted the marriage that he will not allow anyone to say anything bad about Imlie or his relationship with her. So we have to see how today's revelation will affect Adi & Imlie's relationship with the truth

2) I did not mind Imlie today, specifically because her character seemed consistent to me. First when she discusses with her mother of lying for so long that telling the truth frightens her. For an honest person like her, this was a huge confession to make. Meethi's response to that saying that if she had considered SK's feelings, she would have married him 20 yrs back. It was a subtle nod from Meethi that Imlie needs to prioritize her relationship with Adi as soon as possible by considering Adi's feelings as well. Then her entire confrontation with Dev was as expected. Imlie knows the man is not bad, just a huge coward who cheated her mother. I still dont think she has forgiven him, it is just a tenuous dhaaga that is there, where she is willing to give him a chance based on respect for her father's word, nothing else. The reason I felt that was her thought that when marriage truth comes out, she knows he will not be able to keep any promises he was making. Imlie Dev ki fitrat se waqif hai and I am glad they showed that, despite her giving him a chance on SK's behest. The entire college drama is going to go out of hand, we know that. I just hope that if nothing else, she has friends that support her, as they did show her ragging wala friend shooting for teh show. Pata hai that either Malini or Adi or Dev or herself, one of these people will do something, jo humein kal hi pata chalega.

3) SK - SK ke baare mein sunke, first I was really disappointed. On seeing the episode my disappointment reduced a little bit. The guy was still mad it Dev, but was willing to give him a chance to try and SK landed up being the bigger person. I still have a hunch that this is not the end and when SK finds out what happened in college, there may be a Dev-SK or a SK-Anu confrontation. I may be hoping for a lot, but it never hurts to dream. But I am still very upset that they butchered his character so much that he made Imlie accept Dev. That just was not done, but hum kya hi kar sakte hai.

4)AC - You know, as much as we hate her, kudos to the makers for making her the one character that has been consistent from day one. She was vicious then and continues to be vile even today. Her stance has always been very clear and she has stuck by it all through this time, never changing it for anyone, not even her daughter. Today's tamasha was somehow foreseen, as I had thought she will go to Imlie's college (Usne apne story pe us backdrop ke saath pic dala tha, so knew that she would go to college to create some drama). I am happier that she took this route to make Imlie's life, as it makes sense that she wants to humiliate Imlie for hurting Malini. How this goes and who faces her tomorrow is what is to be seen.

All I can say is that today, while the overall drama quotient was high, not one my favourite episodes today.

I must say not what I expected for a double century.

The continuation, personally for me, left a lot to be desired. After Adi fell dhadaam se, the anxiety of his cousins, their joint conspiracy to get Imlie to Adi, these are all white elephants in the room that were left unaddressed. Even a T family discussion would've been nice.

Sundar is shown as being very astute... I don't understand how he isn't suspicious. remember V day when he see told her to be careful?

SK closing the door behind him so Meethi and Imlie don't realise Dev was there was more in character. I think at the end of the day, he wants Imlie to not have regrets. and be the bigger and better person.

Loved Meethi Imlie conversation today. Meethi point blank asks if Imlie loves Adi. Imlie says of course I Do. so Meethi's advice is, then go ahead with his decision of truth.

Dev for me is a person who wants to have his cake and eat it too. he was disappointed when Meethi moved on. but was never ready to go back to set his wrongs right.

Imlie's analysis of him is bang on. ki he will be the first rat that will abandon the ship.

Malini and KC - I don't understand if there is any objective thought or logical thought in terms of what next that Malini wants. to a large extent, I blame her parents for this. they have managed to make her believe toxicity is okay. which is, in my opinion, the biggest reason for her indecisiveness. She oscillates between extremes. Being volatile when a relationship you've invested in breaks down is normal. but after some time, you tend to take a decision of what works for you. either continue or break away. but once this decision is made, you generally tend to stick to decision. it is only until you get to the decision that there is some dilly dallying. not after.

As she herself mentioned, Adi is very clear that she has always been a close friend, while he has loved Imlie. Anu eavesdropping and thinking Adi had chakkar going on should be obvious to Malini, knowing her mother's nature.

In the college, I was surprised that there was no security, the lectures didn't protect their students!

Back when we were in college, the lecturers always protected us. not just in college, but out of it too.

Precap of ink being thrown at Imlie and Anu's smirk, indicates it was planned. Dev on sidelines and not protecting was dismal. SK would've just paved the way for Imlie through the reporters and made her enter the college building. uske baad kaun kya kar sakta hain?

what remains to be seen is Adi in all this.

what is he gonna do? Turn ballistic and baras pado on all of the chaturvedis? or still be the silent spectator coz here doesn't have a formal nod of approval.

even if they do decide to share, what and how will they share? This was supposed to be for their families alone. publicly share nahin kar sakte. going by the BTS, we'll likely get a T family trying to cheer Imlie up. Adi conspicuously absent. later Imlie reaches out to Adi for comfort. Followed by Jagrata and mang bharo. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Episode seemed like a built up for the ‘Tamasha’ BS predicted.

Today Aadi again deliberately stopped Imlie from saying M felt bad as she could possibly still love him. He is soo trying to avoid this that even though he doesn’t Malini still wants him. He is also trying to stop Imlie from going back there. But whenever KC truth comes out they all will be back to where they were after Sindoor drama, it can give BS tough time to get clarity.

Yeah, seeing his insecurities regarding losing Imlie, I too felt that BS too have this doubt but he doesn't want to ponder on it. He knows aisa kuch raha toh Imlie will again try to distance herself. Today when Imlie said that Malini must have felt bad he said she is my good friend but he could look into her eyes. His eyes were downward. I really wished that Adi hadn't so easily believed M having affair with KC. Because KC ho na ho he had already decided that He can't be dishonest with Malini when he actually fell for imlie. I I was so glad yesterday he didn't take Kc's name but 2dqy again he said woh KC se pyaar karti hai

I also noticed same thing. He is not sure KC ‘s affair is real or not. That’s why he lowered his eyes. For the sake of imlie he takes KC’s name.

But on seeing yesterday’s MC’s crying over KC’s shoulder I feel the affair will develop on a jet speed among them.

Adilie scene was good.. He is right if truth comes out in a wrong way then it harm their true relationship.

Aur malini said only half thing which anu heared and bhaval macha diya.

I dint expect satyakam to be this much sweet to a person because of whom imlie and mithi has suffered till now. Lagta hai SK after his mairrage with mithi krathikari se pehele wale satyakaam ban gaya ho. .i dont see any spark as of real satyakaam now...

And dev exepct her to forgive and accept her.. Agar kal bhi ye chup reheke dekhta raha (which i feel will surly happen ) tho he dont deserve to be called as father of imlie..

I m not sure who willl come and stop this or imlie herself take stand for her... Kuch tho bada dhamaka is waiting..

@bold, yup and Imlie did very subtly pointed it out by saying “Malini didi aapke liye aapki friend hai” these two can see through each other so clearly and try to correct the other very organically where needed.

Aaditya’s shallow behaviour for M irks me too, knowingly or unknowingly or with any other motives like for the sake of Imlie, he is not treating M right and that needs correction. Hope We see some development from this.
