This actor who is playing Ved is pretty good.. Didn't make much of an impression last time with the OTT disguise but this time around he looks good.. His dialogue delivery is good.. he has a screen presence and as a villain he is every bit menacing as he has been hyped to be.. Im sure with that one phone call, he got a solid idea about what he is dealing with and he will not take that route again.. Raghav is already spiralling fast ..all he needs to do is play on his weakness and that is his guilt and his fear of losing Pallavi.. Im really liking Ved so far.. great casting makers!!

You know, we've spoken so much about the Jaya/Pallavi dynamic here, and I adored the glimpse we saw today. Pallavi was comfortable sharing with her current MIL about how bad she feels about having forgotten her late husband's birthday, and Jaya said the right things- these thing happen. Also, of course in the Deshmukh house, the birthday of the son who died an untimely death will be impossible to forget, but she's living her own life now, and such slips happen sometimes. Sweet talk between those two.

Sweet talks but Amma also observed the change in Pallavi that she herself hasn't noticed, i.e. how much Pallavi is now invested in her own life and priorities, considering she was dying without the Deshmukhs a few weeks ago.

She might even speak to Sharda about this one day to help her let go of Pallavi a little and give her her 'ja Pallavi, jee le apni zindagi' moment.

As evident from today’s conversation tu bhul gayi aaj Mandar ka bday hai and all she could have simply said Mandar’s birthday Pooja keliye aayegi kya tu and to be truthful I don’t support aayi calling her for this Pooja at all because she is not needed there and she is married now and by calling her to a Pooja like that you are doing nothing but reminding her about being Mandar’s widow. She needs to forget her pain and this isn’t helping her. It’s not a fun family function where Sharda would like her daughter to be present.

And I do think Sharda is selfish in regards to Pallavi, she does love her but that doesn’t mean she isn’t selfish. A true mother would have never asked of her what Sharda did today.

She wanted to get Pallavi married but I don’t think she would have taken it well even if circumstances were normal.

Sharda keeps repeating Pallavi ne Ghar jod rkha tha and how she was the reason for happiness in the house and she depended too heavily on her to solve even the little problems in the household also not just at the shop. And all this while she also failed to notice how burdened Pallavi was with all that responsibility.

This is contrasting with her relationship with Amma, she is comfortable enough with her to share her troubles and worries whereas with aayi she was never able to be open and share her troubles.

Vijay may have refrained from creating a tamasha on such an occasion but overall its still a very uncomfortable situation for Raghav.. and he seems to be the one replacing Nikhil in this puja who is again conspicously absent. Dying to see the scene where he will see Pallavi in white.. With all the justifications of having the right intentions in his head, I don't see him actually mustering up enough courage to tell her the truth himself.. from drama POV also, it wouldn't be impactful at all actually, if he fesses up.. Pallavi is gonna start her owm digging, now that she found the ring and it looks like Ved is gonna leave the crumbs for her to pick that'l lead her to the truth..

Jaya is in the running for the best,most progressive MIL of the century.. I just love her. She has found a new lease of life through Pallavi.. so she values her immensely which I love..what she said was true, a very practical approach to addressing her guilt and worries.. that is why she was able to convince Pallavi so easily.. they both make the best MIL DIL team..

+1 to Jaya being the best MIL. She takes life really simply and this is also quite visible in Raghav's attitude to life, i.e. I don't care what people think. He's probably gone a step further.

On other ITV shows, the new MIL would probably have been unhappy or even objected to Pallavi going to her ex-sasural for events related to her late husband. Again, I feel they are showing these moments between Jaya and Pallavi and contrasting it with her gradually changing dynamics with Ayi. It's all fine for Sharda to be her mother but when Mandaar returns, there's no way she can be 100% a mother. The MIL part of her is naturally bound to wake up. There will be conflicts of interest then and while Sharda is a good person, she's only human. This is when Jaya's practical approach will help Ayi, Pallavi, and Raghav make sense of the mess, especially in Pallavi's case where she might feel she's been betrayed by both her husbands
