While Janardhan completely got what he deserved, if you think from his perspective it was a major blow to his ego. He always felt he was the Seth and he could not be questioned by anyone. This 20 something year old boy not only breached his house(akin to his fortress), beat him up in front of his wife, daughter and his mother-like sister. He was humiliated and stripped of his power in front of his men and house help, the very people he presides over arrogantly.

now as to why he would fixate on Shiva, my rough guess is that Janardhan probably thinks Shiva is the strongest of the brothers(in terms of strength). Janardhan is no mastermind himself and believes in resolving issues by brute force. In his mind, Shiva is a bigger threat than his brothers. He might be conditioned think Gaumbi and Dev are too soft or “sharif”, because of their image built up over the years, probably since childhood. He might feel that getting Shiva(the physical strength) out of the way will weaken the family.

I will not comment on Dev, but Janardhan is clearly underestimating Gaumbi. “Sharif insaan ki sharaafat ke saath kheloge, toh usse bada gunda koi nahin hota”. Just because someone is avoiding a fight, does not make them weak. Seemingly weak people will move mountains to save the thing they love.

By striking Shiva and the store, Janardhan thinks he is striking the backbone of the family and will cripple them. What he doesn’t realize is that the entire family, including his own daughter, will rally around Shiva and the store, making them stronger and a force to reckon with. 😊

lovely analysis 🤗

while I do think Jannu is inherently after Shiva because of previous incidents, the way I saw it was at the time it was most convenient for him to go after Shiva as he was in a vulnerable position of selling trucks to make up for lost money

even during the kidnapping incident, he wanted dev to be kidnapped as well so if he had the option - I feel he would target the both of them

I'm not really sure though 😆

Let’s start a Twitter trend for Hotstar special episode 🤣

But only if the actors are comfortable 😳 Honestly, they might have to live with it with the rest of their lives because the media and gossip sites can get brutal 😕

I think most of her hostility against Shiva used to come with his aggression, anger and his inability to accept her. We see a few glimpses of that concern before marriage where she would want to take care of him, please him and also feel happy feeding him. She had a lot of love to offer. There was a certain amount of bickering and teasing involved. But she never really hated him.

He was family to her.

this reminds me of the haldi scene when maami tells raavi to kick shiva out of the house and raavi retorts back that she would never do that and that he's family she's never had any malice for anyone

the only kiss I've seen on itv is in maryada but they were dating and later married, so they were super comfortable

Precisely! Ravi was always loving and kind towards Shiva, except when they were bickering or she was chanting Dev. She always referred to her as “Hamara Shiva.”

She would bring gifts, try to feed him and Heck if you remember she even tried to click a selfie with him. They were family and she always loved him in her own sweet way.

She even commented once- “Har Waqt Gusse main Sada Rehta hai”

There was a lot of care and worry about him at that juncture.

Now, the relationships have changed, and hence we see many more beautiful moments. But, Ravi taking care of Shiva comes to me more naturally as compared to a typical husband wife role. That’s why, you must have noticed that it strikes him hard when after the kidnapping scene she proclaims her hatred for him.

It bothers him whenever Ravi is upset. He likes her comebacks and enjoys the comfort she provides him.
