Exactly, and the analogy is that brute force will not work with Ved. It will only confuse and frustrate Raghav further while Ved keeps scoring points against him. Raghav had the right idea when he got home, to strip Ved of his power to mess up his life by telling Pallavi the truth himself.

Dil ke haaton majboor Raghav... Ved ko bada mazza aa raha hai ye sab dekh kar. I wish Raghav would at least tell Amma about all this.

This fight showed that Raghav still has not lost his aggressive side and he can be downright brutal to the point of beating someone to death like he almost did to Ved. Ved was smiling because he was having the sadistic pleasure of torturing Raghav mentally and he knew he is successful in that!! Think about it Raghav would have killed Ved long before but he did not each time he caught him he handed him over to the police. Why? because he and Ved were like brothers before all went to hell . They were probably part of same gang and had gone through numerous gang wars where they had each others back. Hell he even kept the photo of him and Ved after things went downhill between them.
