Thanks for reading ❤️
Mygoodness.
So I just came across your FF, Hooked, and read it all in one go, then searched the Stories Index to find your other pieces and just read this one. I am speechless! Your writing is absolutely incredible, the way you weave each word one after the other, the way each thought and dialogue is so true to Raghav and Pallavi, I am blown away! 👏👏
He drinks so he can stop thinking for a while, mostly about her. It works until he is lying there next to her in the darkness, mere inches between them. These are the nights he thinks about his promises to keep her safe (even from himself). It’s more pleasant to remember instead the way Pallavi slid past him this morning in a sweet cloud of jasmine, hair still wet from her shower. How she hums during her morning prayers, some nameless melody he should probably know if only so he can see her smile when it’s played. Blue has always been his favorite color but he has a new appreciation for how it brings out her eyes, those eyes that are oh so patient with his moods and sometimes…
Sometimes her eyes are telling him something else entirely, and it’s those moments he comes back to in the quiet night. Again he thinks it would be so easy… But it’s late and the alcohol has dulled his senses. He can’t be sure what would happen if he were to close the distance between them, if he were to coax her sighs against his skin, if he were to let her hair cascade over him and welcome the darkness.
^^ my most favourite passage. I read it again and again and again. @ bold is where you had me sighing out loud (not exaggerating one bit). Raghav's thoughts are SO heartfelt and his restraint is beautifully described. Pallavi, on the other hand, is the definition of grace under pressure. I LOVE how you kept the essence of their marriage and their turmoil in tact, but simply elevated the depth of their relationship - such a heavy impact on the reader!
I'm at a point where I want to say so much, but I'm struggling to put it in words. I'm just so glad I came across this, cannot wait to read more from you! ❤️
Damn Gal !! This was a PHENOMENAL Read👏👏
I'm so glad I came across this infact can't believe how I missed this Masterpiece. The way you write about a scene is amazing and the way you describe about the emotions of a person is just mind-blowing❤️🤗
You have elevated both Raghav & Pallavi's characters more to me if that is even possible
And I'm speechless. If you have written something other than Hooked, please tag me there even if it's for some other couple. I would love to go through your writings
