Today's episode was Shivilicious . I understand we hope for logic everywhere but the minute we see these two on screen the only thing we can see is magic . How are they so beautiful together ? I mean there's Haq , there's those dreamy eyes for each other , theres the Tom and Jerry waala nok jhok, there's warm and fuzzy feeling of their Bachpan , there's comfort in each other's arms .
Coming to the main question of my topic . When Shiva goes near her ears what does he say . I think he wants to say tujhe chodne nahi deta hume . But I would love to hear everyone's take .
Just an analysis based on Shivi based on their entire journey :
It's very difficult to relate to them but yes we get them They were an integral part of each other's lives since childhood . Today's episode highlighted that in lots of occasion . How he gifted her chipkali and mentioned it that it is a ritual for her to get scared of the plastic chipkali as usual . The smile that comes on Shiva's face at the moment she hugs him , says so much . He does love doing this to her always because he wants her in his arms . Kidnapping scene the smile was a slight smile and today it was a boyish grin. KDs full hearted smile over here reminded me of chotu Harminder. I saw a glimpse of their childhood in KDs that expression .
Everyone knows they are Tom and Jerry . Dhara has always been the peacemaker but she gladly stepped aside for them to sort it out amongst themselves .I like how her character is back on track finally as well.
They have gone through so much that we viewers have seen in such a short span together . There must've been so much instances in their childhood that we are maybe yet to see .
I love the way these two chuhe billi fight they are absolutely adorable .As Gombi has said rightly before teri duniya raavi ke ird gird gumti hai. Also raavi has pointed out duniya gol hai , chahe kuch bhi ho tujhe ladna mujhse hai . This dialogue says so much. For Shiva his life always had Raavi and to get her attention. He didn't know he wanted it but he did . It pained him when she called him Jhalla when he was a kid . He seeks for her attention in small small things by throwing the gola on her dress as a kid to throwing tomatoes and onions at her .He basically just seeks her attention by fighting her because that's what he thought was right to do as she was mami ki behen ki beti .
For raavi also the making sure shiva has been quite important . Her telling mami to give the Kangan and they being family to her laughing at Shiva causing mami to fall or laughing and playing around while the haldi becoming holi scene . That girl has considered them their team since childhood . However even though she has said she wanted Shiva to accept her as her bhabhi for her she always wanted him to accept her is what my interpretation is . After marriage the thought that comes to her mind is the dialogue that Shiva says waise bhi humari banne waali hai , humare matlab mere hisse mein nahi aati . She says she wanted him to accept her as family but she did want to be a part of him as well .
These two characters are the most complex and simple people at the same time . Complex because they matter so much to each other but they have never addressed what that means to them and simple because they wear their hearts on their sleeves and people in their lives have treated them quite to many time as doormats ( intentionally or non intentionally ) . However the best part is they stand for each other no matter how much they fight amongst each other . The scene where he clearly states she's not some ladki but RAAVI during the grahpravesh to Raavi defending shiva when Rishita called him a naukar .
One thing I like is symbolism is time and again highlighted for their relationship as well from the haldi , mehndi, to chunnar falling , to his entry when she asks for khushiyan , or the bells ringing in the temple when dhara and raavi are speaking or when they show the importance of the Kalash. These two are two of the most purest souls no chal no kappat . They react to what's thrown at them and then think over it . When you have spent so much time with each other you understand the person , you relate , you understand , you forgive . No doubt self respect is important but you know that the idiot of the person doesn't mean it at all and is just so consumed with his anger that you accept his gol gol apologies because you know when Shiva feels sorry he feels it very deeply .
One episode doesn't define the relationship these two share and that's the case in any relationship. It's the entire journey they have gone through that defines them . There have been occassions they have both insulted each other thoroughly in the past and they probably meant it but now they know if they hurt each other it will never be intentionally. They have that sort of understanding . Shiva has always been the gunda , brunt types but when she calls him off he does try to change. It takes time for a person to improve and change and be a better version of themselves .
These two have evolved . Friendship is not an option for Shiva right now because I don't think he wants to be on the same boat as Dev . He definitely wants more the way he looks on in today's episode. For Raavi her dream of having a partner is that they become friends first and enter the love journey the way they show in movies . However little does she know they have been sorta friends from a long time . A friend is a one who looks out for you ( telling dev to not mislead her ) , who fights with you and does silly things ( multiple nhok jhoks) , stands for you ( chole andolan ) , protects you ( saving her from matka piece , or from truck ) , dances with you ( kanta kakis daughters godhbarai) , teases you ( chipkali scene), calms you down ( Raavis hug after she lets shiva out of the room) , is a part of your daydreaming ( even with Dev he was the third wheel). There are multiple instances post marriage but the reason I mentioned pre marriage is that there have been very few instances we have seen or have been shown as audience . There might be so many more . Post marriage it has been even responsibility , but even changed relationship of of pati patni .As per shiva he said mera bachpan tujhse ladai karne mein beeta hai hum ajnabi nahi ban sakte . Kyun bane ajnabi when subconsciously for both of them they might have had some pleasant memories . It gets them to present day with how much ever their relation has progressed.
I understand that many people feel he or she are wrong with Kangan kaand that played out . But I believe that that's their journey they both have been wrong but they will make it right their own way . Raavi misunderstood him with the kidnapping scene and insulted him infront of the same crowd calling him Pattar ( just because Shiva calls himself as not important doesn't mean he doesn't have self respect )and then she said a shaky single sorry and we accepted it , also Shiva forgave her and same with Raavi when she was compared to Kangan , shiva said sorry in his gol gol ways and she accepted . They both have twisted brains but the best hearts who are just so giving. Suicide part aside the characters have grown , this is the only thing I would want the writers to address and not write it off as a spur off moment thing . 2 suicide attempts from raavi and one from shiva need to be explained to audience because not everyone might understand the gravity of what and why someone would do it and shouldnt be treated as nothing. Probably a small conversation saying they should never ever do it again to each other and explaining what they went through and saying that this should never be an option .
Last would like to make a conclusion saying these two are love . Alice and Kanwar deserve a standing ovation for portraying the characters in such a way that we want to just go out there and just tell them you'll will have Somnath ki sabse beautiful love story just hang in there because you can never tell apart from Raavi/Alice and Shiva /Kanwar . Thanks for giving us our Shivi .
Sorry about the ramble but just was so happy seeing these two on screen that had to write something .
