@bold, Which makes the competition that much more stressful 😆 I concede, there's no way I like Gaumbi enough to be stuck with Janardhan if that's my consolation prize, Janu can stick to improving his nonexistent security 😆

I'm fairly confident this track will end with Gaumbi charging into Janu's house with Dev following in the background 😆

Now coming to the most crucial and the most exciting part of the episode, the revival and renewal of Dev Shiva Ravi conflict. If you notice during the entire sequence, Shiva’s gaze only lingers at Ravi And not at Dev. His eyes are fixated at her trying to gauge every single reaction from her. He has been a first-hand witness to Raavi’s madness, infatuation or love for Dev.

This is the same woman who was ready to die, hanging from the noose, because she couldn’t get the love of her life. He was the first person who came to know about her unconditional love for Dev for the last 10 years. He was the first man who understood the depth of her feelings and then they were suddenly thrown into this marriage together.

It brings me back to the wedding night when he looked at the gift with the message “I love you Dev “. What could be the condition of a man who just stepped into his brothers shoes and got married to the woman who was left at the altar by his brother? She is the same woman who had spent an eternity in being in love with his brother. That’s a colossal challenge and complexity to carry on your shoulders. She dissed him openly during their wedding night. She warned that this marriage has no future and they could ever be one. Shiva has been pretty much a simple man. The only marital relationship he was privy to was that of Dhara and Gautam. He always knew that a man loves his wife and the wife loves them equally. Isn’t it strange that his wife didn’t want to love him?

Let’s for once forget the hatred and animosity amongst them. Do you think still it’s easy for someone to carry a burden like that?

No matter how much Shiva says otherwise, right from the childhood Raavi mattered to him. Her caustic words used to affect him when she would tag along with Dev and make fun of him. I remember very clearly how upset he was when she called him Jhalla. This was brought to light even during their bus ride to the Haveli where even her minor laughter would irk him.

Alas, he would never be the man she dreamt of. He would never be the man She chose. And, he Feels that he will never be the man Who is worthy of her.

If you go back and watch this particular scene again, you notice that there is no sadness in his eyes. It’s anger mixed with a certain sense of fear and pain. Till date, he hasn’t seen Dev making any slight initiation to talk to Raavi. The moment he speaks and apologises, he sees Raavi melting and forgiving him instantly. Her smile is brimming and he could see the comfort they share. Shiva would never be the man With whom she could share such a comfort. It probably pinches him, it mortally injures his sense of self-worth. It maybe a slight hint of jealousy of not being able to share vibe so comfortable with a life partner. All this and much more is layered in the scene. I think it’s just a boost needed for the conflict of a lifetime to start again. Please do watch the scene and you could Shiva’s chest heaving up snx down with an intense emotion.

They are slowly getting there.They will share the same comfort soon.

u take a bow 1st....i want to keep reading....u have a thing while writing such topics...I feel spellbound....the nuances and minute details u catch...just amazing

I have always thought about his side....what burden he might be feeling...he has his own insecurities, fear, emotions (though hidden)....he is very sensitive but its hidden beneath his hard exterior....in all that when he saw her hanging, he was sh.t scared and he was genuinely sorry for her and next moment he is bound to her and her rejection and acidic words....he is no where guilty, no where he is responsible....but still treated badly....

I just beg to differ where u said he is J....he isn't angry either....he is just plain sad and feels exhausted....he is comparing himself to his brother for her....that he isn't what she dreamt of....

I wish he had the confidence that he doesn't have to fill anyone's shoes....he is better den that fake stone which blinged like diamond.....he is the real one....but this assurance can only be given by raavi....

they both matter to each other...may be differently but they do.....I hope what I wrote makes sense and reaches u the way I want...
