Naah, ispe forum mein ek thread bana tha and someone had actually posted about the law. Apparently, forced marriage is still legal and you do not even need to register it, provided there were witnesses to the entire marriage. Also agar use dissolve karna hai, then it has to be annuled in court by one of the 2 parties.

I think the issue is on 2 folds. Most forced marriages on ITV have atleast one party who wanted the marriage. Also, yahaan forced marriage ke saath Adi mahashay ne dusri shaadi bhi kar li, while telling Imlie that their shaadi is illegal. Aur abhi Adi aur Malini ka divorce bhi hi raha hai. In sab confusions ke chakkar mein yeh discussions hi rahe hai, I think.

Oh Imlie and Anupama are the only shows I watch fully. Baaki mere saare 30 sec precap rule pe hai. I only watch their last scene and precap. Isse I am able to cover a lot of serials without wasting time and basic storylines pata chal jati hai, without getting bored or invested.

Imlie is the only one jo repeat watch pe hai and is one I watch properly, coz phir yahhan aake discuss bhi toh karna padhta hai😆.

Problem yeh nahi hai ki usne bigamy ki,iss forum pe hamesa se hi DD k PANKHON ne topic par debate karte hi forced marriage is illegal, invalid etc etc. Bhale hi baaki shows mein ek party willing marriage karta hai toh yeh fact toh nahi badalta na ki usne blackmailing/ threat karke dusre party ko forced kar raha hai. Hypocrisy k chasma utar kar show dekhoge tabhi samajh ayega.

Maybe kyunki didi yahan positive hai. Didi negative ban jati ya shuru se thoda negative rehti like Imlie ko behen na man'na thoda apne high class mein rehna tab syd nhi hota.
