But there hasn't been any growth in her character. She is still the same, just silently watches her daughter suffer. Ani even made her independent by giving her responsibility of mango farm but she is still the same

Even when Thakumaa was sending Bon to Khandar she just cried while Bondita ate the spiked Roshogullas. Bondita really could have died if not for Ani. If the fear of death of her daughter can't make her stand up to anyone I don't know what can. She has only Bondita in this world, uski jaan hi khatre mein daal di, what can we expect from her. Even Bondita was so shocked her mom betrayed her💔

But Sumati's character is way too weak to root for Bondita-Sumati bond.

She always just remained spineless and never thought of standing up for her daughter ever. Just gets manipulated by people and does whatever they say and doesn't bother about what will Bondita go through. And I guess Bondita too has understood it somewhere. Because I don't see that kind of adoration in her anymore for Sumati.

I don't say Ani hasn't done anything wrong to her. There have been many instances where he has hurt her a lot but then he is the only one who constantly just thought about her well being, always looked out for her and done things that are in Bondita's best interests not caring about anyone or anything else.

That's what I feel sad about. I guess her character has been deliberately been like that or else Ani's role wouldn't have made an impact.

If Ani has always though about the well being of Bon, Sumati too have done that. It's just that Ani being educated and progressive is able to think the actual best for her, but Sumati being a woman of her era, thinks as per the era only. She thinks marriage causes the well being of her daughter that is why she previously agreed for Ani-Bon's marriage and now agreeing to this marriage.

But her character has flipped a lot of times as per the convenience of the story. She agreed to Ani's second marriage because she understood the ill-effects of child marriage. 😕 And now agreeing to Bon's child marriage again.

Once she resisted giving into the society's tantrums when Bon returned to her during chodi-huyi aurat track because all she cares for is her well being and now she agreed to her suddhikaran. No well being now.

That is why I feel BB's writing have lost the way. They are writing as whatever suits the story for the current moment. Not thinking about the character's graph. 😔

I miss Maa ki Bondita cause I feel Maa ki Bondita raised questions whenever Ani was wrong to her. This Sakha babu's sakhi doesn't. 🤪😭

i too think that

he decided to move on from bondita since she is studying well in london

and one more thing

i think he now is trying to distance himself from bondita because he now knows how much toxic is his obsession for bondita

he wants her to choose someone else who is deserves her and not him later in her life

because he knows that she will choose him if he remains the same

so it is again for bondita's welfare that he is distancing himself from her and not hate her

salim se sab kuch pata chalta hoga

but bondita se dur rehna hai kyuki he knows he is toxic for her

if they give this reason, bhai i am satisfied👍🏼
