Don't know about KD but she had a loving bond with Alice, they've worked together in a show before this as well. God knows itna bhi kya hua hoga for her to use such a tone. and that is true, they are in a professional set up and can't be expected to be friends with everybody. But they can atleast be cordial enough to follow each other on social media, coz that is something their work demands.. and if they aren't even doing that much, there must be something grave.
