Shiva-Raavi: Children who are now Man & Wife-

Well, I see the EDT is flying with so much chit chat happening! I can't seem to keep track, so I am Going to go with my two cents. 😆

I may have missed essential discussion posts; forgive me for not replying. I shall try to find the posts and reply. (It's a bit too much to skim through, though)

So, there has been a lot of speculation about Shivi going back to their usual selves after their heated fight and Raavi subconsciously yearning for Shiva to wish him.

We also see these two dorks restless to resume their newfound chat and bury the hatchet.

We might see it as atrocious as Shiva had deeply insulted Raavi in front of everyone, and we all would want nothing more than Shiva begging for forgiveness given that no woman deserves to be treated like this!

That's us, and that's how a typical husband-wife relationship should be with mutual trust, love and respect.

That's OUR ideal scenario, and rightfully as well as respectfully expected.

But, let's view these two from the lens of an extended family as distant 2nd cousins or relatives-these two have grown up together in a certain way, and that doesn't change for them overnight just because they got married.

All their lives, they have seen two scenarios, Shiva lashing out at Raavi, Raavi chanting Dev, both of them bickering and then going back to normal. This has been their cycle.

We need to go back to their childhood scenes where Raavi calls him “Jhalla” and says, “apno ki Baat is bura nahi mante. Jhallon ki Baat ka kya bura manna”. Raavi has always been forgiving when it comes to Shiva. He had thrown her out multiple times; she still forgives him with her smile and goes to lock horns with him again and again.

It's not only because of Dev, but it's their thing! To fight and then mellow down. If we go back to the vegetable throwing scene, the very next moment, she is back teasing him! No matter how angry Shiva would be, she would throw herself at him, lock horns and again repeat their cycle of fights.

Does this mean Shiva is Right! NO

Is Raavi’s insult okay? NO

Why? Because something has changed in our eyes! Their relationship has changed, as pointed out by Raavi.

It struck me out of the blue because, if you notice, Shiva wanted to go back to their usual self. He said: Before this, you would keep on coming back to their house and keep sticking on to me like a Chipkali. Now it's your own house, and you won't come back, now your ego has become too much.”

My first reaction to this was, “How dare a husband say this to his wife after insulting her so much.”

My second reaction was, “These are children who have accidentally become husband and wife.”

These people, especially Shiva, has no idea what to take out of this marriage. Raavi rightfully points out as she is more aware of her changed relationship with him. “Ab humara Rishta Badal Chuka hai.”

Raavi brings up the wife equation and questions Shiva that he doesn't consider her a wife while Shiva is still stuck to their zone of familiarity where he says that your “husband” won't wish you.

Raavi expects more; Deserves more, And rightfully So! But, these people who have shared A lifetime! It's A Long Journey before they realise what respect means.

Subconsciously, Shiva and Raavi are still those kids who were a certain way and have now been thrown into a relationship they both didn't desire to be in.

It's a long journey for them.

Their cycle has been- “him throwing her out, she giving it right back to him and then going back to annoy him more.”

One might question that this time it isn't bickering but something grave! I agree, but in their heads, they go back to following down soon.

It's the US viewing them from a distance VS what they are. During the Haldi locking horns scene, too, Shiva almost throws her out, but she is back lunging at him and pulling his ears the very next day.

Shiva may have expected that this time too, so does Raavi seeing those balloons and making them about Shiva.

They need a whole new perspective, acknowledgement, respect and Trust before They finally become what an ideal relationship should be.

P.S- I DO NOT justify what Shiva did to Raavi, and no woman deserves to be treated like this!!! This isn’t a Shiva justifying, endorsing manhandling post!

If you all listened to his last dialogue from today’s episode, he said that Raavi is already thinking of him as Mogambo, Shaakal and so on. So he is taking this extreme step to get the kangans back because its become his zidd now and knows he is going to further fall down in Raavi’s eyes, He will get the kangan but to get Raavi back, he has to work really hard, this is where his redemption starts. Let’s see how he does itsmiley4

I am going to try and find those. I know it's too much to ask for, but could you please tag me from henceforth as I miss out on some very good discussions amidst all the flying EDT’s

My thoughts on why Raavi expected Shiva to wish her for birthday.

All of you know what kind of a person Raavi is, she has no malice or hatred towards anybody, even towards Shiva. She says it verbally but doesn’t mean it. After Mukteshwar Kaand, she also knew that he would never leave her. She has build that trust and she knows that he has bedn her savior and protector time and again, This time again her anger is stemming only because he disrespected her in front of the family and brought her into the bargain only after Mami refused to give the kangans back and taunted him saying only Raavi will go back with him. Raavi also knows that getting the kangan from Mami is his utmost priority more than anything else at this time. At the same time she is not asking Mami to give the kangans back because she doesn’t want to get in between Mami and Shiva.

Raavi is only angry and did not misunderstand him. In real life, when you are angry with your spouse which ended in a fight, you still expect them to talk to you, pacify or wish you on special occasions or atleast I did, in the initial days of my marriage😆 and is very normal. She also knows that once he gets the kangans back, he will surely take her back but we don’t know if she will go or not.
Even at the Temple scene, she only mentioned that “kaun aise baat karta hai parivar ke saamne, apne biwi ke baare me”. She is not losing any self respect by expecting him to wish. She is still firm on the thought that she will not go back until this is all resolved, though it is not said in clear words, she definitely expects him to get her back, not Dhara or other family members.

You can actually derive few things from the Temple conversation/- both Shiva and Raavi addressed themselves husband and wife which they hesitated to say even the previous night, This is definitely a progression that didn’t happen overnight but it is the right time to acknowledge because of the situation they are in. He expected her come with them to the haveli, if not for him atleast when the family called but he understood why she didn’t after we listened to his monologue.

After watching the promo, he is going all the way to get the kangans, his zidd is clouding his thinking process and is not letting him understand the repercussions of his actions. Is he going to fall down in Raavi’s eyes, yes definitely. Once he gets the kangans back the next thing he should work on is to get Raavi back, this is where we should see his redemption. Him being angry or being hateful towards her won’t work anymore period.

Okay I’m off to sleep again

This BTS is giving me hope. Raavi cannot go back easily, however much Mami is wrong, threatening to push her into the lake is too much for anyone to accept😆

Shiva better repent and apologize for what he did😆

Piu beautiful analysis yet again💜💜

I had shared my views in previous EDT regarding raavi expecting a birthday wish from shiva. I didn't find it strange because I thought it absolutely didn't mean she has forgiven him. It was just that innocent girl in her who was expecting a simple birthday wish from him because that's the bare minimum he could've done at that point.

Also I have seen a couple in real life somewhat like Shivi( not the hate part)

I mean after serious fights sometimes they would be back to their normal self teasing each other and often times that was how they apologised to each other.

P. S I forgot to tag you😔 @ transference

Two children in a relationship!

See this is what I meant when I said makers wants us to see them this way. They cannot and will not stop bickering. They r like that. It’s their thing. And it’s not unreal. There r such couples. I do this with my hubby sometimes. We have been brought up together. We have bickered whole our life and even now we do. After an argument too its natural to us to just bicker. So seeing her so readily snapping at him and nok jhok after such a big issue is not surprising to me. They need contact in some way or form because otherwise the world is incomplete.

They are set in their ways. The only thing I wish would change is that they see each other as something more. They know they are hubby and wifey. But they do not just accept everything that comes along with it. Raavi wants that status in his life now and Shiva is still stuck in that cycle. He is adamant about the bangles and that is not allowing him to move on. So till that thorn pierce him, he will stay like this. Its better that he sort his mess before he gives her, her place and rights. And he will. He is the kind of guy who would lay the world at her feet but just let it start first. And even her... She needs just a single gesture from him and she will fall. Because she is ready to do just that. She wants to move on with him.

The balloon scene where she thinks it’s him shows that she is on the verge, on the threshold of moving on and just is waiting for him to give her a single indication that he will be there to respect cherish and love her. She expects that from him. All her thoughts are focused on him. Krish had to use Shiva’s name to get her out and she still thinks about how he will react when he sees her. She has the whole world there for her bday but all she thinks is about him, because it may not be love, yet he has become the centre of her world. He has her attention whether he is present or absent.

And even him subconsciously he is too into her now. Everything he is thinking has a way to return to her. On the tree, in the temple and in their room. She is recurring again and again showing that he identifies her value subconsciously but he is not yet ready due to his childhood troubles.

Of course he is wrong and this is a terrible disrespect to her. He should apologise and I think he will because he recognizes that he was wrong. So i think he will tell it to her. But after his kaand is sorted out.

He is extreme with maami. He threatened to cut her neck. Did he apologise? He didn’t. In fact that was brushed under the rug. I have a feeling this will be too. There will be no track. At most u will get apology scene where he tells Raavi he was wrong in putting her and kangan on the same level...
