I am guessing that maybe the son is estranged from Maami? Because they don’t even show the child version of him in the pre-leap episodes- he was not there for Anita’s wedding.

Makers clearly did not think this through. They just tacked in a son mainly to allow Maami to taunt Dhara about being childless. If she herself has no child then she can’t do the taunting

Hopefully they come up with some half decent explanation of why he was kept away, if at all they remember him.

This was bothering me too. I didn't know that Prafulla has a son. Whenever she taunted Dhara of being childless, I always wondered how could she say that as both Anita and Raavi are her nephews and she herself don't have any child.

Even that godbharai instance where maami gears up her bitter mouth against Dhara was confusing me as well.

Now it's clear. 😆

In Malayalam version of Pandya Store, Prafulla is Raavi's birth mother. So there's no question of the "orphan" baggage. And, Anita is Prafulla's nephew who's already married to Dhara's brother. She's not behind Gaumbi thankfully. It's just that she's heavily bittermouthed towards Shiva.

As you said, makers might have thought something of this son. But still, a tiny part of mine is being sceptic.

Even the laal ribbon waali thread has got no head n tail. 🤣

Let's wait for this adbhut son. 😆
